Does anyone have the same problem? It is scary to take it in traffic because of the skidding sensation. However, I have tried riding it in 100+ and I don't feel that way at top speeds. Can anyone help me out on what the problem could be? Is it possible that my first service (which I did at 700km) got screwed up and I am feeling this way? (After the first service I was driving mainly on highways at top speed, so I didn't feel that way. But today when I took my bike to office, it feels really terrible.)
Agreed, why should I do stress testing on someone else's product, just because I bought it! I have touched 135kmph after which the response seems to die out easily. There is obviously no linear change in acceleration. 110-120kmph seems to be a very comfortable speed to cruise. (I am a cruiser, and go on a lot of weekend rides). More than that I don't have confidence on either our roads, or the bike, or in myself even. Moreover, it becomes too windy even at that speed that I have to duck myself below the windshield if I want to consistently maintain 120kmph.
Yes, Wind is the major culprit, on heavy winds any bike will be put to strain, with a FF bikes, this effect will slightly be lesser than naked or half-faired. Doesn't matter you got a 200cc or 600cc mill. 110 kph is the good and safe cruising speed for motorcycle in India.
    1. Did you check the air pressure?, if the rear tire goes less than 16 psi, then you will likely get this effect (I have felt on front&rear). At high speeds, the downforce is very less and you may not notice much as the rear side weight gets shifted toward front. Also RS is not 50/50 balanced like NS, front section weighs a bit more.
    2. When downshifting from high rev say 4th to 3rd, it is possible for a wheel lock (Only rear) for short but noticeable period. Even Bajaj manual mentions that.

Experiment this in a traffic free area once and identify the problem and report the same to svc as soon as possible.

Shi***....The black is a killer in looks department, but the asking price for a black color is too much. When and why did Bajaj start to steal money this way?

    150k + 15k +13k extra = CBR250 black, a quarter liter powerful bike anyday

Black one will be available within 15days-1 month in ahmedabad. They are charging the same price only. No extra cost for black

I don't think Bajaj will try to charge extra for black color. It's not a limited edition either.

So here is the deal. It's the dealers who are offering the color scheme and hence the cost. While the cost for this rework is well priced, but at the same thinking of spending anything above 1.5Lac for Bajaj Puslar series this is simply not justifiable to me.

Check the link. It's not from Bajaj. Currently it is done at dealership site and not in factory, maybe coming soon. I wouldn't do that unless Bajaj provides that. But black color is the best, green sucks...

Brother before commenting do a thorough search. It's an official post by Bajaj Pulsar page on Facebook.

If you are not 110% accurate about the information kindly wait for confirmation.

For your kind information the Bajaj Executive dealer is offering the paint as a third party option. You have to purchase the RS200 in Stock color and then request them to repaint it as per your choice. Which makes it 1.5L + 10K(approx)

Its a personal choice and capacity to spend. Soon you will see a cafe racer by some dealership, but you can't tell Bajaj is providing the Cafe racer type of Rs200.

Dealership are owners property and is only liable for genuine Bajaj products. Any 3rd party modification is buyers risk.
Bajaj Auto only gives authority to sell.

I hope you haven't read my post clearly. That's why I said currently done in dealership and hence the cost; also said it may be coming soon. And I hope you have read the article from Motorbeam through the link; for official information will have to wait.

Now it has hit the walls officially on Bajaj web.
Before you posted "currently", it was announced officially, so I am correct on my words. And regarding motorbeam that news is old for me now, so I consider the latest news first which is Bajaj launched black color for RS rather than a common dealer selling 3rd party painted rs200.

Hey guys i have a question ,are all you having the same problem as me ??
when i press the back brakes during rains(around half) the bike starts to skid ? , also when i press the back brakes normally half during normal weather and road conditions it sometimes skids (why is this happening ?)
when i press it fully and speed is above 10kmph it definitely always 100% skids.
Is this normal or do i have a faulty back brake or am i doing something wrong.

Does the wheel lock each time?. You can listen the screeching sound and tell. During rain, pressing half may result in wheel lock and skid. Normal conditions it should not.
