Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hello RS owners.
After months of procrastinating I have finally decided to go for the Pulsar RS 200 ABS.
I went to the dealer 2 times with my dad (as he is buying it for me) and got a different response both occasions. The owner/manager wasn't present so I had to talk to the reception ladies.
The first time a lady said the waiting period is 45 days (I don't live in a big city so they don't stock the RS) and the on road price is 1,55,000 Rs. for the ABS model.
The second time there was a different lady and she quoted me a price of 1,58,000 Rs. and a waiting period of at least 48 days.
I was in a dilemma whether to choose the Black Beast or the Yellow Bumblebee, but the majority in my house say black is any day better than Yellow. I personally like the Yellow color a lot, but I may have to listen to my family members who say black is better.
Upon inquiring about the Black color I was informed that it is not available yet, but I can book the bike by paying 25K Rs. and they will call me as soon as it is available. However the Yellow model can be had after waiting for 45 days.
I am in a huge confusion guys as to what I must do now.
Should I book the Black color?
They still don't know when they will have the color so this for me is taking a risk.
If you have any suggestion please do reply, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!Last edited by Minisoda; 09-23-2015, 12:22 AM.

I like the yellow a lot but since a friend already has a yellow RS (non ABS) near my home my family says why buy the same bike?Originally posted by PULSAR RS 200 View PostDon't listen to anyone just go with your heart which matter the most.
I forgot to post this in my previous post, but is the waiting period and price correct or am I being taken advantage of?
Thanks again!

The petrol indicator is not very reliable ! Use the Full tank to Full tank method to calculate the mileage, and As the RS has FI , the moment you see 2 bars fill the petrol to be on safer side.Originally posted by PULSAR RS 200 View PostGuys can anyone tell me that how much petrol is available in tank when petrol bar is (2 and 1) .just asking so i calculate my milage on my rs 200 because i filled up tank on 562 km and now my bike is on 865 km and petrol bars are 2.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Alright, it was just a flat tire..... Got a 2 inch screw in my back wheel. I fixed it today and the baby is back to form.Originally posted by mkr.coder View PostI have completed 1.5k in my RS200 with ABS. Recently I have started feeling as if the back wheel is skidding - it is happening too frequently in mid range (4k-5k RPM) when I am driving it in around 35kmph to 50kmph. Does anyone have the same problem? It is scary to take it in traffic because of the skidding sensation. However, I have tried riding it in 100+ and I don't feel that way at top speeds. Can anyone help me out on what the problem could be? Is it possible that my first service (which I did at 700km) got screwed up and I am feeling this way? (After the first service I was driving mainly on highways at top speed, so I didn't feel that way. But today when I took my bike to office, it feels really terrible.)
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
I make it a point to touch my bike only when I have put my helmet, gloves, riding pants, and high ankle shoes. My office is 35km away from home. So it is always worth wearing the gears. If I go on a longer weekend ride, I wear my jacket too. If at any point i feel, it is too much to wear for a short ride, I either avoid the ride, or make it a point to walk such short distances. I would rather be safe, than be sorry. I have seen people fall at 20kmph because of gravel and potholes, and breaking their knees. Ride safe!

Agreed, why should I do stress testing on someone else's product, just because I bought it! I have touched 135kmph after which the response seems to die out easily. There is obviously no linear change in acceleration. 110-120kmph seems to be a very comfortable speed to cruise. (I am a cruiser, and go on a lot of weekend rides). More than that I don't have confidence on either our roads, or the bike, or in myself even. Moreover, it becomes too windy even at that speed that I have to duck myself below the windshield if I want to consistently maintain 120kmph.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Petrol indicator is quite unreliable, especially after you pull the bike from side stand. I almost had a heart attack yesterday because of this. While coming to office, there were two bars left. In the evening when I started the bike, it indicated zero bar with the pump sign blipping at its might! I thought my fuel pump is going to fry by the time I would reach petrol pump. While I was thinking about the best strategy/nearest petrol pump, the indicator went back to showing 2 bars... For tracking mileage, I fill the tank to top and reset the trip meter. Next time I again refill the tank and divide reading in trip meter by litres of petrol indicated at the pump (and again reset trip meter for future
)

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
When u see no fuel indicator that means the bike can still go 65kms approx.basically on a crb bike it means u are about to hit reserve.its 2 litres where 1.5 is usable.howveer for an fi when it shows zero fuel indicator that means your bike can still pull 65-70kms if drive sanely and shift at 5k rpm.Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostPetrol indicator is quite unreliable, especially after you pull the bike from side stand. So next time you see it don't panic .just keep in mind it can still pull 65kms so fill fuel by the time, probably after driving 15-20 kms just to make sure the fi doesn't get kaput.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Guys, I guess the sensor is located at the bottom on one side. Observed this in my Karizma as well. To have the most accurate possible reading of fuel left in the bike, keep the bike on the side stand and then turn the key on. It will show readings closer to actual. When you pull the bike to upright position, I believe the fuel is distributed at the bottom into 2 recesses because of the frame. Anyways, my Karizma always gave accurate reading while it was resting on side stand.FIAT-Yamaha enthusiast
