Surprised, Disco 125 for 35k?, are you really sure man?. Because here (In chennai), I had checked almost of the dealers, they said nothing more than 16-18K for a less than 3 year old ~18K KMs done bike in good condition. But finally I forced then to accept for 22K. Luckily I sold it for ~24K in olx. You should sell immediately if you are offered 34K.

Reg your dilemma, wait few months for MOJO. And try for CBR250, even without C-ABS is also fine, but it's a worthy motorcycle.

Really am getting 35K for a 24k+ run bike in a mint condition, 3 years will be completed this Sept 7.

As per Insured Declared Value I have purchased mine for 62500 OTR and per age of vehicle mine has not exceeded 3 yrs but completed 2 years so depreciation would come up to 30% of Mrp. (62500-30%=43750)
Still getting 35k I am not ready as I will sell it at least for 40k. Just believe on your verbal skills.

Note : after my 3rd year completes depreciation would be around 40%

This is totally a approx idea which doesn't include any factors against the pricing

Sorry got into some commercial language. Can't help it 😝😝😝

        thank you for the insights.
        1. i think i'll wait till diwali, gives me a chance to save more and look for other options too.
        2. i had ~7 trips from gurgaon - jaipur, jaipur-rajgarh and combinations , each is 250 km apart(approx. 5 hours), so 7, 500km rides, not much painful
        3. guess i'll sell it in the exchange offer then, as olx is too much pain, and i can't attend to regular phone calls in office.
        4. as for cbr250, i really want to buy that bike, and i won't go for abs less version, i'v had too many accidents, and abs is around 50k more than rs200 abs (on-road), my family will kill me.
        5. weight will take some getting used to i guess.

ohh and for me initially disc 125 wouldn't go above 60 70, but it opened up, and it goes 80 without pain and acheiving 100 feels like you'r riding at 300km/h

The mahindra mojo has been released i think,i heard prebooking has started for 10k rupees . estimated cost somewhere between 1.7-1.9 lacs @_@ . IT will probably give all other competitors a run for their money. I waited for 4 years for them to release the bike ,now when i bought rs they release it , ohh well lets see how it turns out .

            1. I would appreciate you to wait till diwali festival session as many bikes are in line to launch. To list some M&M MOJO, new cbr250/300, Hero Hx250,suzuki 250 gixxer (may arrive/may not), duke adventure 200/390, Apache 250, cs400, Yamaha may launch some new naked/adventure bike soon, benelli is even trying to launch more affordable model for approx 2L, etc

            2. My last trip was of 700+kms from ahmedabad - udaipur - nathdwara-bhilwara-ahmedabad total time consumed 11hrs with 4 30 mins brake. Started in mid night 2 and was back by 1 at my home. Yes even got carburetor stuck.

            3. Exchange with your showroom only and force them to pay higher. They will only accept your proposal if you are purchasing something from them. I proposed to buy rs200 in exchange of d125st.

            4. Why don't you try for getting a well maintained cbr250 abs. I got a friend who got a well maintained one with a 1 medium size scratch on on fairing only at 1L. 2 years Completed engine as smooth as new with a projector hid installed. Now he is offering to sell. Still it's in pristine condition.

            5. Yea its just a matter of time. As we both are in same stage, let me know what you finalise and why?!

I daily drive it for 130kms and believe me I cruise at 70-80km/hr with ease. I am running on 20w50 Motul.

waiting seems like the logical thing to do, will also confirm my doubts about rs200 build quality as more reviews pour in, will keep an eye out for the upcoming models.

700+ in 9 hours is impressive, given the condition of indian roads and driving/riding sense

i am also considering used bikes, but it doesn't go down well with my mother. racing bike!! second hand!! 1 lac ki!! hawwwww
but i'm still considering that, as i have also recently bought a flat, i can only do future spendings on emi

so my hands are bound, but i still want a racing bike, which is also commute friendly. let's see how it goes

                Thanks for the appreciation. 👍✌✌

And the biggest challenge for any1 is to impress parents for a so called sports bike. And if it's a used one that also for 1L, nothing is tougher than this in world 😂

                May god help us

Mojo will be awesome for city and long rides, don't expect much comfort on very high speed rides say 130 or above, because it's a naked one. But think of the comfort of cruising with 30nm of torque kicking as early as 6000, just like riding a bullet but with more features and great handling, less vibes. I'm eagerly waiting and will do exchange my ns sometime soon......

By the way, bookings are accepted. Launch is close to a month during festive season

CBR 250 is worth buying any day, the refinement levels are very high than pulsar or duke. Trust me, i was shocked after riding it for few minutes after having ridden mine. Superb. Though i love my ns to the core, i like and envy cbr250 as well.
Only for 250 and not 150, which is waste of money and of poor quality [emoji2]

We can hope ninja single cylinder 250c naked bike, apache 200, maybe bajaj cs400. But honda wont update cbr as they are more focused on commuter bikes and scooter in competing with hero [emoji6]

Guys my bike has clocked around 1300 kms and today on western express highway mumbai i ripped my 6th gear to 120kmph at 9k rpm . I didnt enjoy the handling though the rear portion of the bike was slightly wobbling and overall handling was a little scary. One more thing i noticed is at good speeds the bike is throwing me off my seat very easily on uneven surfaces. Is the rear shock up hard should i lower it by one point?

Unless you change it from stock, it will handle even worse. Stiffer means more sharp handling. Yes, it will be bumpy and you may feel like thrown out of bike, but why on earth would you run over such bumps or potholes at speeds like 120+?.

by the way, fishy @120+ is anyway not good. Does that only happen at high speed?. Observe well at low speeds like 60/80.

Also remember, 90-110 kph is ideal for Indian roads and for Indian bikes brother. With braking from single caliper and disc, even though you may have ABS (Front), still rear can slip and create worst nightmare and can put out of riding for life. If you find roads are not even, potholes, patch works, lane split, diversions, unexpected corners, etc then slow down to safe speed say 60-80 where your bike handles pretty well and you can also predict. At speeds like 120,130+, we need to think fast in less than seconds time.
If you want to test your bike's max speed and acceleration, use a known road (where you know where a bump\pothole is), ride once\twice to make sure no disturbances across. Then try your trial. Use a camera or mobile on a holder to capture the speed rather than attempting to look at dashboard. Never attempt this on unknown roads.

                            Safe ride.

                              Hey
This is my first post on xbhp, very happy to be here.
I have already booked the red Rs200 abs version and am expecting delivery on the first week of October. This will be my first bike! I have a car for my self, since dad forbade me from any two wheelers in my younger days. Anyways, since i would be buying my bike with my own money, i had a budget of 1 lakh, was fixated on the gixxer sf or the honda hornet 160. Dint like the As200 looks and was not too happy with the power of the fz-s/fazer.

At the time the Rs200 wasn't launched in Goa and i was not sure it would be launched before the year end. I just happened to visit the showroom to check out the As200 and was stunned to see the Rs200, was launched a day before i visited.
The Rs200 looks better in person than it looks in pictures but depending on each person taste, the Rs200 has a love it or hate it design. For me the Rs200 was a good looking machine.
I was given a 10 meter test ride inside the service center since the showroom dint have any dedicated test bikes and the one i rode was booked.
I will not list out the pros of the bike since i have not ridden any other bike substantially to give myself a benchmark to judge the bike, have ridden my friends gixxer and 2011 fazer for a very short distance.
The only cons i can list out are:
                              1. weight
                              2. Perceived bajaj quality/reliability
                              3 Perceived bajaj service

On the weight front, bajaj could have tried to reduce the weight, may be a deal breaker for maneuverability in traffic and mileage but reading other members post, one can adjust to the bikes weight and the the mileage isn't drastically affected.
Coming to the Baja quality/reliability, from what i have read and heard, bajaj has come a long way from the old pulsars, it has benefited tremendously from the ktm venture and going by the NS200 ownership experience on this forum, seems to be vastly improved. I don't expect Japanese level of quality and reliability but bajaj is making an honest effort to get there and I'm OK with living with a few niggles.Though being my first bike, i'm not going to give bajaj too much leeway.
On the service front, heard nasty stories about bajaj online, but then again, atleast in Goa u get mixed results with every other manufacture. Since the dealer from where i am buying the bike has a common service center with ktm/kawasaki, i expect decent technical know how. I haven't heard a lot of negatives with this service center .

If someone asked me why i dint go for the CBR250 ,R15 ,duke/rc 200? Well the cbr250 is way beyond my already stretched budget and I'm not going to go the used way. R15 is getting old and the riding position is too sporty for me. The duke 200 is too getting a bit old and is a little costlier than the Rs200 and since it shares parts from bajaj , besides the much lower weight and naked looks, doesnt seem a way better choice than the Rs200 IMHO.

Ending this rather long post, the above points are in my humble and limited opinion. Even though I'm 22, im just new to riding and hopefully i don't offend any seasoned riders with my views. I have a lot to learn as time progresses and hopefully i have a long and great motorcycling experience with the RS200!

                              Regards

                                Regards
                                Wow, 22?.
Congrats on your RS200, especially at the age of 22. At your age, I was driving bicycle (well, 10 years back, you know )

24 horses for a first time biker is a bit overkill (In India, given road and people, my opinion only ). Launch harder and the bike will swirl you up for sure, so... Try holding your attempts on showcasing or outrunning the bike in front and make your family happy, proud and feel safe. RS200 ABS is a good choice.

Weight is a problem esp when overtaking or cutting through a tight spot, that is the place where RC200\Duke200 stands on top, even a gixxer. Because these bikes weigh pretty less and does excellent track rides. Don't know if that's why Bajaj states "Leave track to amateurs" (Because RS can't handle close enough with RC on track ). But any day you can't live with RC forever, it's a track machine unlike RS and we don't spend our entire life on track. Upon getting use to, you will feel good and appreciate the weight for straight line stability.

R15\CBR150 might feel a bit under powered in front of RS200, but they have well controlled NVH values compared to Bajaj. But CBR250 is worth any day for sure, no denial. Share pictures and moments when you get your bike.
