Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
In city conditions with lots and lots of traffice (Where I cover 12 km in 40+ minOriginally posted by Pawan Kajla View PostCan anyone test the mileage of RS200, my bumblebee gives 30kmpl in my city on short ride and 35kmpl on long ride in city bt i never check the mileage on highways.. bcz my ODO is only 570kms....
), I get a mileage of 29-30. This is tested atleast 5 or 6 times with tank to tank method.
On my weekend ride, I got around 39 kmpl. That was full highway ride with almost zero traffic jams. These are the two extremes I have faced. I think 35 kmpl is fine during the run-in period assuming you have had your first service.Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Oops, I almost forgot it was FIOriginally posted by Pawan Kajla View PostBro RS is fuel injected so it is no way to adjust mixture and my past bike NS is carburetted and MY NS gives me 36+ every time...
30kmpl is really very worse. That's getting close to Duke 390/RE500 mileage figures bro.
By the way, interestingly why did you swap NS for RS?, both are of same level performer on stage?, with the later more for touring.
My next upgrade would be nothing less than Duke390

39 kmpl is fine bro, but 30 in city is very bad, for a same engine, similar power, tyres etc. Hard to believe.Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostIn city conditions with lots and lots of traffice (Where I cover 12 km in 40+ min

Just a FI addition could possibly affect mileage?. Because during my run-in NS offered >40-45 mileage figures consistently. It is only when I started riding harder and mostly >5-7k rpm the mileage slowly dropped to 36-38 which is my current situation in city, worst being 35 once. Highway is also same around 38 kmpl when doing 100+ in excess. What is the official claim by Bajaj for RS?.

Just a FI addition could possibly affect mileage? i dont think so. It plays an important role when it comes to saving planet ( Emission ). Ofcourse its bit efficient but not as we expect.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostOops, I almost forgot it was FI

I think 30 is fine given the kind of traffic I face. As I mentioned, I did get a good mileage on highway ride. So nothing wrong with the bikeOriginally posted by jbm_guy View Post

Re: pulsar RS200 starting problem
Hi.. Right thing to do is to take your RS to SVC rather than guessing what might be the problem, because i could see few RS waiting in the SVC for more than 3 weeks to get spares. So take it asap and get it fixed.Originally posted by Naivedya Kumar View Posthi

Remove battery cable and put again after 10 sec... And try to start in neutral gear... Make sure to close side stand properly... Throttle must be closed when you press start button.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Phew Completed the Runin period finally with discipline
Have opened the engine till 4.5K rpm slowly with suggestions from the Runin guide.
In Runin period I got a mileage of 43-45 Km/litre with tank -tank method.
I am getting a vibration @4.5K rpm , can this be eased out by any means.
After 2000km , Should I change the engine oil ? will this help to have a smooth engine latter.
or Do i wait till the 2nd Servicing which is 4500-5000Km.
Should I open the engine slowly with +500 rpm every 500 kms ?
Suggestions Please , I want to have a smooth engine over long time.
Thanks for your support, its nice to have such a good information on this thread.
Cheers and drive safe.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
43-45 kmpl is great, which is same as my NS (When I was in run-in). But I prefer reserve approach. Well, you can slowly, say if you were doing at 4.5K so far try 5-6K for few days or few 100KMs, then slowly increase upto 7K. Post that you wont be needing much or doing much unless on highway, as post 7K you will be doing 100+ easily.Originally posted by OptimuxPrime View PostPhew Completed the Runin period finally with discipline

No need of oil change. But you can if you dont mind about the expenses. I did at 2nd service, no complains and no vibes. Change at 2nd service, run for a 1000KMs, then change to motul if you wish.
