Now my question, why does color of engine oil changes to dark (black) so quickly with in 1000 km and i could feel the roughness in engine performance now. is there a problem with my engine or it the normal behavior. (whenever i change the oil, engine is so smooth and there is no problem in shifting gear).

Ideally, as per recommendation, engine oil should be changed only after completing 5000 km. but for me, its seems to be a problem. Have any one of you completed 5000 KM without changing engine oil ? and what is the color of it?

PS: I understand many guys are advising for Motual 7100 20W 50 after completing 8000 KM, i am waiting to complete 8K KM to try it)
The darker the colour the better it is,meaning your engine break in is perfect. But there will be a but of roughness in the engine until you change to 7100 from 8000kms.engine becomes smooth post 9000kms

I need below suggestions,

@All Members :
1. Do Teflon Coating required or not.
2. When is the ideal time say like in a week or month after purchase to do the Teflon coating.
@ Chennai Guys:
1. A Good shop to do STICKER on Windshield/Number Plates/Other minor things in Chennai.
2. If Teflon coating is needed then where to do it in Chennai.
3. Any Riders club for RS200 so far in Chennai ?

Doesn't happen in a cold start actually. It happens when the engine is hot. I'll try and post a video if I get some time from college bro.

Also, something else I noticed is if I accelerate very very slowly the RPMs go down first and then shoot up!

Isn't this completely strange behavior?

Please advise guys. Thanks.

To claim warranty does we have to visit the showroom where we bought the bike or we can claim warranty from any Bajaj ASC's.

You can claim it from any bajaj svc, provided you have all the timely service records.

3M is a brand that takes care of upholstery. Coating and PPF (Paint Protection Film) are their areas of expertise.

I am also facing similar problem. There seems to be a lag between throttle and power delivery. Why is this happening?

One low beam bulb replacement costs close to 500 bucks including labour charge. No warranty on bulbs it seems. And, I know these are projector lamps and all but do they cost this much ?

There is something called throttle response on FI bikes.GEt it cleaned. If you Throttle body is not working properly you will face the below issues

1) Lag in acceleration

2)Vehicle stalls on its own(Lots of RS200 members are facing the same issue)

Get it checked.Even if tis a new bike it doesnt necessarily mean there aint any issues with Throttle body.Might be a manufacturing defect.

I bet they'll jump astounded if I mention even the word "throttle body". They're scared to even touch the bike!

But point taken, I'll try at least to bring up the issue. Thanks!
samurai01 Bro I'd also suggest you to try and get the throttle body cleaned or at least checked as xplod566 said.

Those SVC guys are very naive.specially the bajaj ones.if they give a strange look just tell him sternly as to what he was trained when given the job of servicing the rs.best would be to tell him to clean the throttle body.how or what he does is his headache.and remember never leave your bike there.be on the spot to see of they are cleaning

Mine getting off too many times these days.. For arresting vibrations fairing need to be removed completely and re fix it.. But they wont do as it is time consuming.. My mechanic said it takes atleast 45 mins to fix the fairing perfectly..by this time he will service 2 pulsar 150s 😊
