Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
There isn't much cost difference between 130 & 150.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostWhy 150/60 section? I guess pilot street radial is available in stock size of RS200.
And no difference in performance.. Better looks.. Better grip.
Cheers.

140 section is ok but differences would be in performance, contact patch would be wider, there will be speedo error and sprockets would wear out soon.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostThere isn't much cost difference between 130 & 150.

It's always prescribed to use stock size tyres, you can upsize to 140 section but 150 section is not good at all.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostLots of my friends are using 150/60 ..
They are realy happy with the perfoamce.
Better grip on straight line and at the corners.Last edited by Chandan92; 02-01-2017, 11:24 PM.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
But actually 140/70 is heavier than 150/60
The tyre dia,
130/70 is 91
140/70 is 98
150/60 is 90
140/70 is 105
150/60, on our narrow rim compared to ktms mean it wil get more rounded.
Correct me if i have mentioned any thing wrong.
Cheers.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I am owner of Bajaj RS 200 2 months old i recently fixed hazard switch but i got problem when the bike is turned off the hazard used work but when i start the engine the hazard lights means the indicaters wasnt blinking even when i switched hazard switch on
so i visted mechanic and told him he changed stock bajaj Dc flasher and fixed other flasher dunno which i left my bike there and came after he fixed the problem
Now question is :
Will changing Flasher effect ECU? bike eletrical components? or any future problems? or any problem occurs like engine turning off automatically in middle of ride?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
As you go wider tyre will be heavier and as i said earlier contact patch would be wider. So initial acceleration would be reduced, no doubt grip would increase but that grip would exert pressure on chain sprockets.Originally posted by IamAditya View Post
A manufacture should have thought something before putting a particular size of tyres.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
As far as my knowledge goes it won't effect as the flashlights / indicators have a separate fuse for them.Originally posted by Keshav Gowda View PostI am owner of Bajaj RS 200 2 months old i recently fixed hazard switch but i got problem when the bike is turned off the hazard used work but when i start the engine the hazard lights means the indicaters wasnt blinking even when i switched hazard switch on

If anything happens the fuse will blow away.
Just cross check that the mechanic has not directly taken supply from the battery.

Well, a wider tire will be heavier due to obvious reasons. The sizes you have mentioned above are sidewall heights and not necessarily the weights.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostBut actually 140/70 is heavier than 150/60

150/60, on our narrow rim compared to ktms mean it wil get more rounded.
Any variation from the stock size would induce a slight error in the speed/tach readings. You're basically altering the gearing to by a minute extent by doing such changes.
You may notice an increase/decrease in the readouts depending if you've gone for a smaller/larger than stock spec tires.
The circumference changes, and so does tire rotation.
Let's take a slightly deviated example to study this.
Consider a car with 15" rims and an SUV with 22" rims. Both on stock sizes. Now while a car needs tires replaced every 50-60k km, an SUV doesn't need one till 75-80k km (just going by the number of km and not years). That's because the number of rotations (and hence wear) on SUV tires are less in 50k km as compared to the car.
Same goes for bikes with 18" wheels. A Pirelli might last 20k km on Enfields, but would last 15-16k km on a Mojo (just an example). But now if I plonk the Enfield spec tire on a Mojo, it would be heavier (more rubber mass) leading to extra load on the engine and directly on the transmission and sprockets.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

Re: pulsar rs 200 speedometer problem
Hello Brother,Originally posted by mha_hrc View Posthi guys . i am hadi and i live in iran .i have a problem with my rs200

but abs and check lamp is active.
engine start normaly and all components (horn.light......)works.
after 1-2 minutes speedometer activated and everything works good until next start.
4-5 hour after engine shutdown could happen again.
i went to mechanics .he failed to slove the problem.
please help to fix this .
thanks
I suspect this is because of the temperature your bike might be kept in. This usually happens when the bike gets cold and temperature goes under 5 degrees. I have been riding this beast from last 11 months but never faced such a problem until I went for a ride in the mountains under sub zero temp conditions. The Temperature was -16 degrees and as soon as I turned on the ignition, nothing happened ; the speedometer , the rpm meter didnt respond. After seeing this, I remembered all the posts I have been through where people complained about the display not turning up. I thought for a moment and cold started the bike, the self worked the very first time the engine started. The displays came back to life after 2/3 seconds.
This never happened again after we left that region. The incident happened with me on 29th Jan'17.
I hope the post helps.
I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Rear tyre won't bring error in speedo error, and tyres, some sticky stock size tyres are more than enough, but my friends are using 150/60 for more than a year,no issues anywhere, the rear doesn't get locked that easy, you can realy feel better grip from the rear end.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostWell, a wider tire will be heavier due to obvious reasons. Talking about upsizing, lots of Gixxer/fz users are using 140/70 and 150/60 no issues there too .
The rear section of RS is realy wide, and if you remove the tyre hugger, 130/70 looks skinny.
So if someone wishes to upsize, no issues.
Cheers.

See thing is you don't want to understand and please don't quote entire post.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostRear tyre won't bring error in speedo error, and tyres, some sticky stock size tyres are
Cheers.
And lastly if going by your logic please put a 180 section tyre for looks.
I guess manufacturers should stop doing any R&Ds for tyres and they should simply put a tyre which look good.Last edited by Chandan92; 02-02-2017, 08:02 PM.
