I would like to know two things,

    Which oil do you use?

And is there anything wrong, if i switch back to Bajaj dtsi oil as they realy recommend that oil?

    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Bajaj says that their oil can be used for 10,000 kms,
After seeing the Vikas Rachamalla vlog on Engine oil, i am very confused,
He even said that mineral oils can last till 10,000-12000kms.

From somewhere I heard that , FS oil can cause issues to the engine in longer Run, because bajaj recommends Bajaj oil is the most suitable one for RS200.

What is your opinion on this?

    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Vikas Sir uses mineral oil for his 1000cc super bike 😐 yes its a 15year old bike, so old tech.

But still what if RS200 engine was designed for a Mineral oil?
    Hello Brother,

I have owned RS for 11 months now, clocked around 12000 km's and switched to Motul 7100 just after the first service (at around 480 km's switched to Motul).

I'd like to share my personal opinion regarding my experience with Motul 7100. Initially, I was also in doubt whether I should switch to FS engine oil or SS or should I stick to the Bajaj Mineral Oil, then I decide I should move to synthetic oil by reading all the pros and minimum cons of the oil. The next deciding factor was when should I do that, shifting to FS or SS oil. Then came the risk factor when I have already decide to switch to Synthetic Oil then why should I wait for next 4500 km's. So, I switched to Motul 7100 on my first service.

Frankly, I wasn't able to figure out for the few first hundred of Km's what change it has made to my beast. But after 11500 km's, I could feel the change now, Vibes has been gone completely, no more shaking foot pegs, no more rattling of the vibes(this was on of the most visible change), the vibes have now completely gone out. The gear box which was rock solid initially, has improved with time and become a lot smoother. The bike's performance has certainly improved and never ever let me down. I recently went on a long ride to Munsyari, UK where i rode the bike in sub zero temperatures and every time I used the self start , she cranked up with the first self. She's definitely improving day by day. Motul has certainly improved the bikes performace and now I dont regret my decision of switching to Motul 7100.

I hope the above post clears your doubts regarding whether to switch to Synthetic or to stick to Mineral Oil.

I'm attaching a few pictures of my recent ride , hope you'll like it

Hi all, I recently joined xBhp. I am planning to buy RS200 Demon Black ABS version in Bangalore. I had booked the bike in January from Amba Bajaj but after taking almost half the payment, they started postponing the delivery saying that 2017 edition will come out soon. It's been more than a month now and I am starting to get worried whether they will actually provide me the bike or not. I spoke to the dealer today as well and he has confirmed that the bike is coming by end of next week.
Can someone please share their experience if they too have got a delivery from this dealer in Bangalore? It would be really helpful for me.

        Thanks

          Hey nice pics!

May I know what brand saddle bags those are? Do they allow a pillion to sit comfortably on the seat after they have been filled up?

          Thanks!

            Thank you Brother

These are Rynox Nomad v2.1 Saddle Bags. Yes, they do allow the pillion to sit comfortably, infact I went with a pillion this time and we covered 640 km's in a day. Additionally, they also provide you an option to have a tail bag if you want.

Do let me know in case you want any other info regarding the bags.

                    Hello,
                    I've found 130/70 online.

but I'm not able to find Michelin pilot street radial 100/80 anywhere online. There are only michelin pilot sporty can you please help me.
Pilot sporty is non radial so is it good?
And what is the difference between radial and non radial tyres.. .

                      Guys..
Last one week I rode my RS without the end can & now i fixed it back.

Pros felt without the end can-

                      1) better engine braking,
For those who shift down gears with throttle blip, one will feel it smoother without the end can.

                      2) slightly better initial acceleration.

                      3) on my bike, i felt the upshifts way smoother without the end can.
Yes it sounds awkward, exhaust has got nothing to with the gear box,
But i rode it back to back and without the end can upshifts seems smooth.

After fixing the end can back, the only benefit is the way more louder sound after 6k RPM,
without the end can its very calm above 6k RPM too.

                      Cheers.

During the launch of the RS pulsar they showcased bluish white headlights but we got those halogen colored ones.

Can someone please tell me how to upgrade the current ones to the white projector headlights.

Not an expert & never felt the need to upgrade stock bulb as stock is more than sufficient in night even where no street lights present,

We have Halogen bulbs of 55W- low beam/65W -high beam. There are aftermarkets options from Philips with white light -Direct fit.(Beware of other Chinese brands & don't exceed output as it will drain out battery.)

You can also use recently launched-200ns 2017 halogen bulb of 65w (for high beam replacement) it is also white.
                              Thanks for the reply.

Well I wanted them for the looks. I saw an RS with white lights, but couldnt talk to him as he was in other lane. It looked just awesome. Which philips bulb should I buy?

All the launch photos/videos were edited to make the light look whiter. If you look at the reviews/first impressions that came out all the bikes have the normal yellow halogen bulbs. Probably this was the only bike at launch venue to have this setup, since it wasn't to be ridden that day anyway. Also, white light gives the illusion of a bigger/brighter bulb so that's why they use it in photos and advertisements.

I've read somewhere that this sort of blinding white light is illegal. The stock setup is fine and I don't see any reason you'd want to upgrade.

I've ridden on pitch black roads in the ghats and the highway at night and the high beam + low beam is more than enough even in those conditions. Cheers.
