    180 section is a joke.
Putting 150/60 won't bring any difference in performance thats what i am saying, because I have ridden rs with those tyres, and am still on stock tyres,so I can realy know the difference when riding back to back.

    Cheers.

Riding with those tyres is not a problem, but differences would be in chain sprockets life, speedo error would be there because it's calibrated for 130 section even if you don't agree.

Please google it just because you have seen it doesn't means you are always correct. Again I would say 140 section is ok above that you are messing with bike's geometry just for some grip and looks.

This is last reply on this topic from me.

Guys a weird question... Bikes normally have their speedo connected from the front wheel right... The speed is taken from front wheel.. But abs detects if there is a wheel lock by comparing speed of front tyre to the bike speed... That's what I came to know when I read about abs.. So where else is the speed calculated from... Sorry if this is a stupid doubt.. Just curious..

So here are the problems I'm living with for the last 6 months..

            1. Bike turning off randomly when I pull IN clutch.
            2. No acceleration in the first 3 gears, particularly below 6K RPM.
            3. ABS light glowing once I ride over 60kmph. (This problem started after a recent service in January 2017.

Currently my bike has an ODO reading of 22,000+ KM. I've been riding my bike with issues 1,2 since 10,000KM.

When I try to accelerate the bike "chokes". It's like there is an issue with air or fuel supply

I had air/fuel filter changed 2 times in the last one month.

            Using Motul 7100

Last night, I'm on full throttle at 5k RPM, 6th gear and bike is hovering at 70-71kmph. As though tthere is a speed lock.

I've had 6 visits to the service center since June 2016... I'm close to giving up on the bike...

            Any suggestions?

Same system in ABS bikes as regular bikes for the speedo. It is connected to the front wheel and speed is measured with that. The ABS rings are connected to the ABS module which detect if there's a wheel lock and then accordingly provide the braking to the front wheels.
In the RS200 there's another ABS ring on the rear wheel to check that the rear wheel doesn't lift off the ground on hard breaking and will accordingly modulate the pressure on the front brakes.
              Hope this clears your doubt
              Cheers

For the issues 1 and 2 have you got the fuel tank cleaned ?
Ask the service centre mechanics to remove the tank and the FI system to clean it and check if it dispenses the right amount of fuel as required by the bike.

For issue number 3, get the rear ABS ring checked. There's a bend / crack in that. I had faced the same issue. The ABS lights up if the rear ABS sensor picks up an error.
Do replace the ABS ring or just repair the bend.

If you're in Bombay, would recommend heading to Executive Bajaj Ghatkopar to solve all these issues.

RS200 makes majority of power post 6000 RPM,

The bike wont rev if you have low fuel, in KTMs even if you only have 1 litre petrol you can rip it (red line), which will consume the petrol more.

On Rs, if you are below a particular level, rpm won't go past 7-8k RPM, and this rpm limit will go down as the fuel decrease, which is done to give more mileage in that limited fuel.

                  Cheers.

It looks like fuel injectors have been clogged up, get it cleaned and see if any improvement is there.

For ABS light, there can be abs sensor failure. Replace the sensor.

I was never wishing to upgrade my tyre size. I just wanted to switch to a better one from the stock tyre. I don't want any change in performance or anything.
Don't care for looks. So is Michelin Pilot street radial 130/70 better or 150/60 better?

From the various reports I've read, 130/70 is stock - and will always be what's "recommended". 140/70 seems okay as many have used it without much downside. In fact, where I live, 140/70 is commonly fitted when replacing the stock tires as they are more commonly available than 130/70. Some reports seem to suggest that 150/60 *may* be able to fit - with a rather tight fit (low tolerance), but I personally probably wouldn't go down that route.

I'm from Hyderabad. I wrote a scathing mail to Bajaj and got a call at 9AM.

Thanks for the points, I'll ensure all those are checked.

This strange choking behavior where it gets stuck like it's not getting proper fuel happens with me also. Particularly in 3rd gear between 3-4K RPM and in 2nd gear between 2-3K RPM. Unless I apply more throttle it keeps bogging down.

I have done the following things so far:

                              1. Air filter (replaced)
                              2. All 3 spark plugs (replaced)
                              3. Fuel filter (replaced)
                              4. Cleaned the fuel tank
                              5. Cleaned the throttle body

Still I haven't found a solution to this problem and it's a very strange issue. From what I know a few other people also have this issue.

The bike turning off when you pull the clutch in could be due to a bad cable, get the clutch cable replaced and see if that eliminates the problem.

I'd get the injector cleaned but the SVC doesn't dare to go anywhere near it. As others have suggested if you can, get the injector cleaned maybe that'll help reduce the hiccups/choking behavior.

                              Cheers!
