I think they are universally applicable and will fit any motorcycle. Not 100% sure though.Originally posted by ManoR View PostYes. The stock levers are not very comfortable for me as i have small hands.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey Guys.
Its been 3 days since i got my Red Rs200 and im loving every bit of it. Even though the only two wheeler i ever rode extensively was an old lml vespa, switching over to the Rs200 was a breeze. As soon as the bike is in motion one cannot feel all those 165 kilos and is quite nimble in city traffic too. Me being a novice biker am pretty comfortable with the bike, no complaints whatsoever.
I tried to keep a look out for that thud sound that many owners have complained about but i have honestly not come over such a sound.
The only grouse with the bike is with bajaj quality control when it comes to its painting and fitting process. there are two tiny chips in the paint on the edges joining the black plastic. Also there is a small bubble in one of the stickers, doesn't bother me much but hope bajaj takes a little more care handling painted parts whiles assembling the bike. Other than these everything else is upto mark.
Another slight issues is with the chain slackness, needs to be tighten a bit as it makes a sound at low rpm. Will get it done at the 1st service.
Since its in the run in period ,maintaining those low rpms is killing me.
but i do the occasional linear rev till 5.5k rpm just to work the engine a bit. After riding 200 kms i am very pleased with the bike and comparing it with the Duke 200, buy the duke if you value its vicious acceleration and exhaust note . While get the Rs200 if your more of a cruising person who values high speed stability and safety.
Regards

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
It's been a long time since I posted here, as I was so busy with my professional life.
However, a problem has cropped up in my RS which is worrying me a bit.
It happened 2 days ago that I had to go somewhere early morning around 7AM. So I went to my garage, inserted the key in my RS, flipped the kill switch to ON, and saw that the Neutral indicator was glowing green. I usually leave the bike parked in the 1st gear, so how it came into the Neutral position was a question that should have cropped up in my mind. Yet I did not pay attention to what gear the bike actually was in.
Nevertheless, I got on the seat and pressed the starter, and WHOOOSH! The bike immediately leaped forward as if someone had pushed it hard from behind.
I was shocked for a moment. Thankfully, I have a large garage with a lot of area and I pulled the brakes immediately, so nothing happened to the bike or me.
I checked the gear position and found that it was indeed in the 1st gear, yet the Neutral indicator was still glowing. Then I started my bike with the clutch pressed in, heated up the engine, and took off. No matter what gear or speed I went into, the Neutral indicator wouldn't turn off.
Two facts-
1. Before this problem, whenever the bike was in gear, the Neutral indicator wouldn't glow. And if I pressed the starter button while in gear, it just wouldn't work, as it is a safety mechanism to prevent the bike from leaping forward when the rider accidentally starts the bike in 1st gear without holding the clutch in.
2. Now the Neutral indicator keeps glowing all the time, and now if I start the bike in gear, it will not resist and will take off.
I didn't get time to take it to the ASC and I thought the problem would go away on its own. But it didn't.
It's sad that I cannot take the bike to the ASC before the day after tomorrow.
Can anybody explain why is it happening and if this is some major issue? I'm really tensed about this.Last edited by Ashish Yadav; 10-04-2015, 06:40 PM.Two tires feel better than four. Period.

I also face some kind of issue with the neutral light. When in traffic, sometimes the gears doesn't work smoothly between 1st and neutral. So, sometimes it is 1st gear with the neutral light glowing and sometimes it is neutral without the neutral light glowing. It only happens when I notice the gear didn't upshifted or downshifted properly. We have to accept the fact that the RS200 doesn't provide the best gear shifts.

Hey.Originally posted by fundoozzz View PostGo rain go...

I wanted to know by removing the tyre huger , do you face any problems with Small stones from the road hitting ur back while in motion? I wanted to remove that tyre huger coz i felt the rs200 would look better but was advised by my friends to keep it to prevent water and road debris like stones from being flung and hitting the riders back.
Also how did you remove the sari guard? Would appreciate if you could shed some info about this
A small grouse with the rs200 which i came across by accident is the unavailability of double crank protection. if the bike is already running and by mistake you press the starter then the bike cranks again which is bad. Anyways it happened due to me fiddling with the light switch but bajaj should have provided a double crank protection.
Another issue is a sound which comes while going over speed breakers and potholes at normal speeds which doesn't sound like a thud that most people report but rather like TIK TIK sound, like something is hitting against metal or plastic. I feel its the loose connector behind the headlight and above the front mudguard that is left dangling, will try and secure it to see if the sound is produced again.
Other then that the bike is awesome, trying desperately to keep it below 4k rpm but becomes difficult and i end up lugging the engine and the chain makes a sound so i dont follow the strict rule.try as best to keep it at 4k rpm but do take it upto 5.5k rpm when going up slopes or to overtake slow moving traffic.

l am yet to ride it with a pillion after removing the tyre hugger but I am sure that road debris won't be an issue, only issue would have been the water which won't be now as it stopped raining.Originally posted by Rambo1o1 View PostHey.

Regarding the saree guard, there are 3 screws which you will have to remove and before removing them you will have to remove the rubber capping above them with a screw driver. After that only you will have access to the screws inside which can be opened by using one of the two special type of those little rods (don't know what they are called
) provided with the toolkit..

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Guys, I have been reading this thread for more than a month now. Are the fairing rattles audible during riding and are the vibrations significant? Please share your honest observations.
Theoretically, if power, extra features and switchgear quality is overlooked, is CBR150R better than Bajaj RS200 when it comes to rattles and vibrations and overall package?FIAT-Yamaha enthusiast
