milan2377 I guess you should top up at SVC as soon as possible. The guys in my SVC were putting some strange Tata coolant in my bike so I told them not to do that. Engine heats up more now since there is almost nothing (not even near the "Min" mark!).

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Thanks a lot for the explanation buddy. I guess I'll just top up with Motul. Yes you're right it is indeed yellowish green in color that's why I got confused since the bike comes with green color coolant. Thanks again!Originally posted by marmiteminer View Post

Hi Tejas,Originally posted by Tejas_parekh1 View PostHi Suneeth, yesterday I was there at Sai Service Borivali-East to pay full payment of my Beast... Can you tell me exact how much you paid for on road price of your bike?
I paid total Rs:1,52 lakhs for non abs is like Rs:1.40 lakhs and 12k for Metallic White color(they said will give my bike on 18 Feb).
For Teflon I would suggest do from 3 M store or Bike Pro-Dahisar they charge same.
I paid a total of 1.55 lakhs for my bike. Got it yesterday evening. I'm disappointed with the carelessness of service guys as the right and left screws of the bike's fairing were loose and the danger light was always on without even touching the break. Got it corrected today.

ByI m not sure about the source of squeaky sound... But regarding braking, I use both at 65-35% front and rear combination... And today I noted that both disc gets hot and comparably front lot hotter than rear...Originally posted by Rover200 View PostWell this is not a brake issue as yesterday I came to know when I took the bike to the service centre for the same problem. At service centre mechanic from KTM attended my bike and told me that the squeaky sound is from front tire friction bush which tightens the tire while riding the bike and the sound is coming because of dust entering inside it. He said this is not an issue and will go with time but not gave me a permanent solution for this. He said wait till second service of the bike. Also want to tell you that yesterday while on my way to the service centre the sound disappeared after 10km of ride. So may be its a matter of time but still annoying as there is no permanent solution. Maybe the bush needs some time or distance to set. Just ask your service centre about this and see what they have to say on this.
Also, you might be using only front brake most of the time that's why it got so hot compared to the rear one.
Hope this helps!
Actually it would be helpful if someone just goes for a casual ride and check this heat issue in discs and update... Have u guys ever noticed..?Last edited by ssrraghav; 02-05-2016, 11:13 PM.

How is the bike and how you feel of RS200?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I have checked out the issue on my NS however the heating of the discs is normal due to the pad friction with the disc for stoppage. The holes on the disc should be competent enough to dissipate the heat.Originally posted by ssrraghav View PostBy

I faced this issue once that my front disc got overheated due to a faulty pad due to which the front disc got jammed. But it happens slowly and only when the disc gets hot enough for the heat not to get dissipated.
Heating is fine but overheating WILL cause the disc to gradually jam up. As the heat dissipates the disc will loosen up but then you gotta have it checked ASAP by going to svc centre without any usage of the front brake.
As far as the squeaky sound goes, check for any dust which may have gotten trapped between the pad and disc causing this sound. It can be easily removed by giving the disc module a wash with a fine jet directed at the pads, strong enough to clean it but not strong enough to cause any damage.Last edited by GauravD; 02-06-2016, 01:23 AM.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
It depends on riders.... Same as what GauravD mentioned. But it differs on rider habits. My case, read disc gets pretty hot compared to front as i will be using rear(60%) mostly and front(80%) on emergency or when needed....Originally posted by ssrraghav View PostBy

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
RS200 mileage can be expected from 30-36 kpl range on aggressive usage... Might give 38-40 for very sane ride...Originally posted by vineetsaini96 View PostHi Friends.. I am confused between Rs200 and R15 .. Please guide me which bike to buy?? and what is the exact mileage of RS200???
R15 is light weight and less powerful, but handles better and had top quality.
If you need highway rides and comfortable cruiser, get rs..... Just a city ride with less of a pillion....and power requirements, go for r15.....
R15 v2 is now very old.....

RS200 is heavy machine, but powerful at the same time and mileage is around 36-38(cruising at 90-120 Kmph) and if you are lucky you can even achieve 40 in city.
R15s/R15 is a great machine but you get a lots of goodies with pulsar, R15 you can achieve above 40 mileage easily.
One word of advice, try to find about after sales service in your local area of both brands, try to find reviews of the service center.

Thanx bro for ur reply...
But Are there any other options available in this range???
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
I am doubtful of one thing..RS200 is new in market and R15 is taking its stand since last 5-6 years..So What are the Rs200 reviews in market??? Is this a machine worth to buy??? Because like old Pulsars had lot of noises in the engines, chain problem as well after 1-2 years usage. What u say??Originally posted by amarme001 View PostRS200 is heavy machine, but powerful at the same time and mileage is around 36-38(cruising at 90-120 Kmph) and if you are lucky you can even achieve 40 in city.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Duke 200, Apache 200 FI ABS, cbr150. I'd pick apache 200 for abs if safety is my concern....Originally posted by vineetsaini96 View Post.

I'd pick r15 if i prefer styling, handling and a happy revving engine all day long.....
I'd pick RS for comfortable long rides with decent power to cruise at 100-110 easily....
CBR150 is very old...
Duke200 is something a mix of all.... Your budget determines it...
Also you can post this in what bike section to get more answers....

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
When I got the bike the coolant was near the "Min" mark. It's gone now since I live in a hot area and 90% of my riding is in the city (which seems to have a love affair with speed bumps). The fan used to turn on if I let the bike idle for even a minute in traffic.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostWow..... You have filled coolant more than a couple of times.... I guess it evaporates somehow. I'll be topping it up soon with Motul Motocool.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey guys.
Got my tail light replaced under warranty and also got an unscheduled oil change today.
16 days back i was told to wait for similar amount of days for the tail light to be in stock. called SVC yesterday and was told to call in another 8 days since new parts were exhausted. Pissed at this news i sent a strong mail to bajaj, 10 min later got a call from the SVC telling me to get my bike the next day. Apparently they would give me a new tail light from their fresh stock of bikes.
I also wanted to change my oil since the bike felt rough and already 2500 km had passed since the first service where they put motul 3100t instead of the DTSi oil.
Now i had contemplated to use other semi synthetic 20w50 oils since the only other 20w50 oil from motul was the 7100 and i dint want to go full synthetic yet. Motul 5100 was in 15w50 spec ,maybe ill use it at the next service but before that i would read the pros and cons of using different spec oil.
Since i had no time to go searching for other brand semi synthetic oils i decided to continue with motul 3100t.
Now on the way to the service center which is 23 km away , i knew exactly how my bike sounded, rode with the old oil. i used to get vibrations on the foot pegs at 4.5k rpm to 5k rpm and 6k rpm to 6.3k rpm.
As soon as the new oil was put, which was almost colorless with a golden tinge to it,and i started my bike, i could immediately hear the change in sound at idle. The rough sound was gone. More astonishing, while riding back home was that the foot peg vibrations at those certain rpms had reduced by 50%. though you could feel the vibes, it was very much subdued.
I dint feel much difference when i put the same motul 3100 at my first oil change at 500 km, but i guess after 2.5k km of engine run-in, the new oil made a whole lot of difference. I wonder how my bike would transform with full synthetic oil.
I must say that the service center, sitaraj bajaj ,navelim, Goa, which at that time was shifting its current premises to an adjacent building. Even after all the moving and commotion they did a quick and quality job. Though they need to be reminded and pushed to do other small jobs but overall they seem to be knowledgeable and open to customers demand.
