This is not to scare you but just to let you know that heavy bikes with more power isn't always easy to handle. A level of maturity is necessary which as someone here stated very nicely "Maturity comes with Age", this is true. For example, when a P220 passes so quickly ahead of you, how many resist the temptation to smoke that guy?. Now only matured people will be able to behave sanely.

Now, Why don't you try GIXER SF
I have already mentioned that my heart is with this bike. Anyways, thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Hi Milan, saw your video have you done from company or after market?

Every time I see color modification in Pulsar RS200 it confuses me as I have told company to give in Mettalic Shiny White but after seeing your video wish to add Red also,Kindly guys suggest something like which color should I do in White and Black color as I was thinking to add Golden color on front shock absorbers and Red color to front mud guard,Projector Headlight and little in rear.

I haven't rode my RS200 for last 5 days and today while coming to office I noted that whenever the rear brake is engaged, it gives out a screeching sound and light vibrations (seems like 2 surfaces rubbing against each other). It tried testing the scenario at different speed levels, every time sound and vibrations were there. Please let me know what could be the possible cause and how it can be addressed.

ODO meter reading on bike is just 200 KM.

          Regards,

Things seems to have worsened. When I drove the bike this morning there was a constant sound from wheel, irrespective of the fact I press the brake or not. It seems something is constantly brushing along side the wheel. The sound, however, dissipates as the bike gains speed (or maybe I am not able to hear it due to exhaust sound). This is getting worrisome . Kindly suggest what can I do at my own to reduce it as I cannot make a visit to SVC in next 2-3 days.

          Regards,
          Abheyjit

            Hi,

I got my Pulsar RS 200 demon black on 13th Jan 2016. Just 15 days old. Now ODO is 530km. Yesterday I gave for first service. I had some issues and still exist after first service. I don't believe service centre guys. Always they say some readily answers.

            • Foot peg vibrations
            • Idling RPM is 1800. but manual says 1400 +/- 100 RPM. If I go as a single RPM seems okay. If I go with pillion the RPM goes up, whenever I change the gear to down shift or up shift. Also feels gear shifting very hard. It is annoying.
            • Making neutral sometimes bit hard.
            • Thud sound from the front. After service somehow okay.

I have not ridden my bike more than 52 km/h. Always maintaining the RPM limit within 4500. After service I felt little bit smoothness in engine but not fully satisfied.
I have Pulsar 220 as well. I moved to RS 200 since 220 was giving more vibrations on the fairing and foot pegs. RS also doing the same for me .

When will the bike become smooth? How much time will it take? Is it common on new engine?

Just try to wash your rear break with high pressure water. The sound will disappear. I am also facing this problem but with the front brake and every time I do this the sound disappears and now it seems like the problem is getting solved day by day. Still cant say whether the problem will reappear or not but washing the brake will do your job temporarily. Just try it and see the results.

              Hope this helps.

Try to find the source of sound. When parked, Is the wheel free to turn as if brakes are not applied but sound and vibes still comes? If yes, mostly it could be wheel bearings . If no, the brakes or the drivetrain is causing the sound. If its from brakes, check the rotor firmness and alignment with the calipers. Else, check if the axle is properly aligned and is tight. Both sides of axle must be at same notch on the adjuster.

One more suggestion: After running the bike for some time, feel the disk plate with your fingers. If it is really brushing against any surface, it will be hotter as compared to the other wheel. This way you'll be able to check if the sound is due to two surfaces rubbing or any other reason.

Thank you for prompt response guys. Unfortunately I do not have access to high pressure water source as of now and thinking to take it to Bajaj ProBiking Service Centre in Thane (Wagle Industrial Estate) today evening. I hope their technicians have better competency and are able to isolate / rectify the issue soon.

Anyone has an experience getting their RS200 serviced / checked for issues at this facility?

                            Guys,
                            I have two questions.
                            1) After how much kilometres should one start redlining?
                            2) After how much kilometres should one start sudden acceleration. i.e. Drag races?

2000km by default (manual). But if you feel your engine is set will, you can start early. But post your run in, you can start gradually say 6k to 7k and so on for every 100km scale.

But watch out for jumping on throttle, more of it will increase chain slack and cause clutch wear....

                              Ride safe
