Do you feel any difference after the change?Originally posted by patisid View PostBro it's absolutely free they change four springs and a clutch plate in the clutch assembly. .. CHEERS!!
I was supposed to go there but the guy says he has too much work already so he can't risk opening up an expensive bike like this just to wait on parts.
Hopefully he's willing to do it next week.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hello guys..I have clocked 5000km and had 2nd servicing done today..
I'm from Belgaum and asked work manager at svc about clutch assembly update but he told they didn't get any intimation from bajaj yet and they will contact me if it does.
Secondly ,zzzzzzz noise from front have vanished which was very loud and irritating, svc guy told he tightened the screws.
I had asked for chain and sprocket cleaning but he told me RS doesn't have chain lock and to remove chain he have to open bike frame ...is it so?? Guys let me know if he fooled me!! He just wiped with cloth and lubed it..
Windshield cracks: they are ready to replace it under warranty (stock unavailable, asked me to visit svc after few days)

bro the bike feels alive once again and clutch and gear and pick up has all become like a new bike before upgrading the parts the bike felt like crap even splendour would be having good gear shifts but now I am happy drove the bike for almost 10000kms with shitty gears .

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Okay so I just came back from the SVC. The manager is outright denying about getting anything regarding the clutch. He says he has not received any email or circular regarding a clutch update. In fact he says he never got any update about the rollover sensor either. He says the updates are issued to certain bikes based on their chassis number and which batch they're from.
So if anyone here has any information like a circular number or photo about the clutch update it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
To clean and lube the chain, there is no need to open the chain lock. Svc guys won't do it, they always have some excuses. Its better you start cleaning the chain yourself. Its easy, clean the chain with kerosene and a brush, wipe it clean and then spray the chain lube. Just don't keep the rear wheel running by shifting to 1st gear. Its too dangerous. All the best!Originally posted by Narayan10 View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Unfortunately that alone isn't enough to convince them to do it. I'd rather not take the risk anyway. I'll get it done in Panvel or Alibag I guess. Thanks for the photo. Cheers!Originally posted by patisid View PostThe circle springs and the friction plates in clutch were changed for the update. ..

Thanks for the advice.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Post
You have a rear shock oil leak. It's very minuscule, but given time, it can give away any moment especially when fully loaded. And it's good that you've spotted it at a very early stage, that is shock oil leaking and the dust surrounding the oil reservoir cap. Get the shock replaced.
Cheers!

I also wanted to know if these Rear Shocks have standard two year warranty ? or less ?, or are they clubbed under suspension wear and tear and hence have a very limited coverage?
I'm not sure about two wheeler but for cars most manufacture give 1 year or 30k km warranty for suspension parts excluding wear and tear parts.

If you're under warranty, yes suspension too are included as part of the package. If not, either get a used one or get a new one, either way shouldn't cost much.Originally posted by Rambo1o1 View PostThanks for the advice.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hi !
Am very new into xBhp. This is my first post in xbhp. thank you so much guys for lots of advice, information. I have been following this thread from last week.
My first own bike was RS200, I bought it in sept'15 from OSL Bajaj kolkata. On Feb'16, my bike has been stolen
. Now am planning to buy another one.
But unable to make a decision which one should I go for(R15S/RS200/duke200. after reading this thread, able to decide almost 80% for RS200, but some issues which comes from family, friends,colleague- they are saying RS200 is unlucky for me not to buy, but my heart & mind is going for RS only not any other. even I faced many problems with my old one, such as vibrating sound, looking glass issue, fuel indicator, SVC.
anyway other things is:
1)If I go for RS200 this month, kindly update what are the issues been resolved with current batch of production.
2)How to identify mfg date from VIN- I have seen one post in page 71 I guess, 8th & 10th alphabet. 8th is for month & 10th is year. correct me if am wrong.
Thanks
My old one :
