Try Phillips Xtreme Vision 55/60W bulb...Refer pg:424 to 440(not all page) in Suzuki Gixxer 155 thread for reviews and photos.

To my know SVC people are not installing bulbs, it can be done with a local mechanic but be careful to chose the correct mechanic.

Definately Gixxer. Its the best 150CC currently money can buy.Its very refined and really good on power although it is tad pricey than AS150.

I feel both are difernet bike.

See this video and you will understand why Gixxer is better than AS150

              This one too.

              And this one.

There is a guy on the Gixxer naked thread. TrulyPulsarian He sold his 220 and bought a Gixxer. Its that popular a bike. The AS150 is for those who cant afford the 200, but want the same look. Posers. And college kids, who want to show off.

                  Overall package.
                  The Engine, the Chassis, Tires.
Engine is a the main highlighting pros of the Gixxer.(Awesome midrange=Effortless Overtaking) as in case of AS150 we have to keep working the gears.
Gixxer also tips the AS150 in build quality.
Though I'm still hoping a Gixxer200 from Suzuki with clip ons, Liquid cooling, 6th Gear and 20+ps power and torquier engine.

Gixxer has a smooth engine. Has more low end torque. Better gearing. Arguably better looks. Much better build quality. Better tyres. Better instrument console.

And how am I wrong? Also, did you watch any of the comparos? The motorbeam shootout? The Autocar shootout? Just because you have a motorcycle that doesnt mean its the best.
They are done by reputed media houses, and by bikers who have decades of riding experiences. Who know which is a faster bike, who know how to look beyond the BHP figure on a brochure.

                          1. Guys is it advisable to change the oil every 1000-1500kms, If yes how much will it cost me? (i don't suppose it comes under the free service). My bikes first service was done at 800kms and now im nearing 2000kms.
I ride the bike between 4500-7000rpm and most of my commutes involve slow traffic!
                          2. I found rust on the metal mount of the front fairing, how should i approach Suzuki about this? Last time i found a small dot of rust in the same area and told them to get rid of it which they did (I hope they did 'cause I didn't see it when i checked) but recently i found more.

On another note the clunky gearbox is not clunky anymore! (lubed at the first service). Mileage figure around 40-45kmpl[emoji16]

Hello people. I suspect my gixxer's engine becomes abnormally hot. Can anyone tell me what is the maximum temperature that is normal? Also if i want to measure engine temperature what would be the ideal place to put temperature sensor. Iam planning to externally put a temperature sensor with an arduino.

I own a black gixxer from 5 months. After the second service i've witnessed noticeable changes in my bike. Self start bugs me alot and i no longer hear that awesome bassy sound when riding, when i put forth all these issues to SVC they say my bike is alright as if they don't want to pay heed to my issues.

Any suggestions on good looking fibre engine guard to make it look more sportier??

Please share the workflow you implement with the temperature sensor here, if you don't mind. I'd love to have one installed on my bike too. Heck, this sounds like an awesome DIY project, and if you get to work on it, do let me know - I'd love to watch it unfold and help in any way I can.

I just use my fingertips to gauge how hot the engine is - works pretty well, but it isn't accurate by any means.

About the maximum temperature that is normal, might I suggest installing the sensor on a few engines under varying test conditions - various running durations, different ambient temperatures, long breezy highway runs, intense clogged traffic, serious uphill and downhill rides, etc. I would suggest using multiple sensors on the same bike at different places. We could even use the sensor on bikes running different oils and at different altitudes.

The data you have available by the end of the vast array of tests should give you a good idea on what the optimal running temperature is, and what temperature one would consider harmful to the engine.
