Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The nice thing about bikes like R3 is that they are world bikes and they are relatively cheaper so they sell more.. Due to this scale, you get a fabulous accessories and you are literally spoilt for choice.Originally posted by Finney View PostThanks Jawed.

Just do a cursory search on Aliexpress and you will see what I mean.
I have quite a few things on my bike and most of them are good-to-have....except one. That is the mirror extender. Its very cheap. S&H included it cost me USD 10. Works like a charm. It fitted perfectly and I could fix it myself in 10 mins using the Allen Key in the bike tool kit.
Additionally I got the following things
1. Engine Guard : Its a net mesh which fits the space below the radiator and prevent the dirt/stone/gravel from hitting the engine
2. Radiator Guard : Its a perforated metal cover which fits the radiator and prevents the fins from getting damaged either from water spray, which cleaning or foreign matter
3. Fendor Eliminator : You can dispense with the fibre part on which the number plate and indicators are fixed. This improves the look of the bike substantially..the view from rear is absolutely stunning...more so if you have 150 tyres to complement.
4. Stop light modulator : Every time you brake, the stop light will flash 3 times in quick succession and then will be steady on.
5 Rear Grab rail : The bike does not have any means of holding on to for the pillion.. Got this but could not figure out how to fix it. So its still lying unused.
6. Extra Loud Horn : Its a must. If you have any plans of high speed runs on Highways. The one supplied in the bike is pretty pathetic. You really need louder horn. If you are going at the speeds which R3 is capable of...you would be covering some 40 mtrs every second...so you must be heard before you are seen in the rear view mirror ! !
7. Friction pad : They are fixed on both sides of the tank so that you can anchor yourself against it. Otherwise you tend to slide forward and backwards when braking and accelerating.

Yes. I got it for that reason only...but somehow I am not able to fix it.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostThank you Jawed. The pillion grabrails should help in parking too
No matter which angle I use, some part or the other is still sticking out.
There was no instruction sheet included with the grab rail and I over estimated my own DiY skills.
There are six different metal pieces out of which only two are the CNC machined ones in the body colour(blue in my case). The other 4 are some kind of metal bracket with adjustable angle and 8 or 10 nuts/bolts..
The seller's only response to my queries was that this is ready to be fitted onto R3/R25...They did not even send out a pic of one which was already fitted.
I got this for some 20 USD during the sale on 11th Nov 2016.
I am keeping it in the hope that some day I will take out enough time to put it together.

This is the Big misunderstanding in our country how Tax function GST tax 28% included Rs 3.48 lacs. Only we want to add Road tax and insurance.Originally posted by Finney View PostOTR price is yet to be finalised, expected to be around 4.4/4.5 lacs.

Yes. this pricing makes sense.Originally posted by CodeEvo View PostBangalore Folks , Rejoice.

The earlier on road was in the vicinity of 3.70. This adds up to 40k increase for added goodies of sticky tyres and ABS. ...The only thing which they have left out is the slipper clutch..but then its fine.
Got to know from some other group (most likely a rumour) that there are only 1500 R3s kits imported in this batch and they are of Sep-Oct 2017. Subsequent imports will be placed depending on the dealer offtake and the movement.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Don't trust monarch guys. 1.5 years back when I was buying mine they said don't buy blue bike, they are getting lot of complaints of color fading. It turned out later that they said so because they only had black in godown. Their sales team is so pathetic that the entire buying experience felt like they are doing me a favor and I am buying a scooter. Unfortunately they are the only ones in Pune who gets R3 directly. Their after sales service guys are way better than core sales. Hope this helps!Originally posted by rushikesh.ware View PostFolks from Pune, has anybody placed their booking?
I enquired at the Monarch Yamaha and the sales guys told me that they have received 40 bookings so far! Too good to be true I guess.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Went to Margao-Goa Yamaha Showroom today to get quotes for R3 surprised to see sloppy sale team who had no idea about anything .
First i went to Pratik motors was told firmly they dint have price breakup of the bike and team was also not sure when they will get such information , Sales rep didn't even bother to take my number i left and went to Yamaha website and found their is another dealer who is shown as R3 dealer for my area
Went to second showroom , found sloppy sales reps who were busy in their own work . Had to interrupt them to get their attention . When asked for R3 Quotation i was surprised i got it in seconds but i was immediately told its not in stock and will take 3 months i was shocked and asked if their is huge waiting they said company has fewer units , was told pay 10k as booking amount and wait for 3 months .
I left the showroom but after close inspection i found ex-showroom mentioned as 326280 i went back in immediately , when i told staff its ex-showroom launch price was told as 348000 , only then they released they had given me old price and when i pressured only then they decided to check with Yamaha which they couldn't go through after repeated attempts . they finally took my number and told i will get a call back from them soon .
I am not sure if this sales guy will be able to get me R3 in time frame , it seems they are busy selling non-gears got Honda dealership vibe from them .
