The suspicion w.r.t. dealer pushing black is reasonable. But its actually the opposite case this time. Even i booked blue. Most of the blue stocks(read at factory since no dealer keeps the inventory now) were finished early Feb. I booked blue color but black is the only option left. Even i had to give the nod to go ahead with booking for black in Delhi.

Grab rail fabricated. The drawing on top is approximate as it was tweaked in real time after fixing on the bike.

Kawasaki is superb...best..Fam..Am fan...!Originally posted by Janesh.J View PostRe: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Infact dealers ask upfront 1L booking amount (non-refundable) incase the buyer cancels the booking. Another thing is what i believe is that black being a slow moving color, the company may be pushing dealers to sell black stating blue out of stock, but all this is just an assumption..

I saved these pics in my mobile and search every shop in my area. But none of them had it. Then I had to make it myself & with a little help of my friend. Damn, that was hard as I never did this kind of work before and my friend was making fun of me as I was struggling. Damn, I wanted to nulls clash with him at that point. Anyway, I successfully made this handle or rail and now it's easy for my grandpa to sit behind me and taking its support. Love you for the idea bro.Originally posted by Janesh.J View Post

I think you are from India. So here's a lil news: Yamaha discontinued the last-gen R3 in India after the implementation of BS6 emission norms on April 1, 2020. It was available for INR 3.52 lakhs before being discontinued.Originally posted by jesonzale View Post

Hello R3 Riders,
I've been riding my R3 from 2018 September. The stock metzelers laster for around 13k kms for me and then I changed to Apollo Alpha H1(it was launched newly at that time with a lucrative price tag). I'm very much happy with the performance it offered. But I always have this strange feeling that I'm missing something with the 140/70 offered. Now it's time for me to change the Alpha H1 as it has completed around 18k kms. Any good suggestions on 140 section radials. Not interested on Pirelli diablo Rosso II due to its price and life span. I've heard about mrf masseter but not much about someone using it on R3. If anyone has used it on R3, can you please share your experience. My purpose is purely touring on highways and ghats mostly. Cruising speed will be 100 to 120 and occasional speed bursts like 150 to 170.
Thanks in advance

I'm going from same dilemma. Although I've CBR 250r but I've installed Apollo Alpha H1. It has perfomed very well but there's little bit drop in ave n also bike feels little bit heavier in handelling. Although these things r not affecting my riding. But I want next tyre replacement to be of stock size - 140/70R-17. But there r very few options in that size.Originally posted by Naveen88 View PostHello R3 Riders,

Finally got Michelin Pilot street Radials from LAL Tyres, Katupakkam, chennai. front(110/70/r17) and back(140/70/r17). Bill amount was 13.5k for the pair which was highly disappointing, but had no other way. These dealers are making use of the demand for 140 radials and selling it overpriced. But one thing which keeps bugging my mind is that the rear one is 2020 manufactured tyre, Hope it doesn't affect the performance as the shelf life is around 5 years.Originally posted by pinkesh2703 View Post

Has anyone installed saddle stay in their R3. I enquired many auto accessory shops here in Chennai and no luck for R3. For customisation, I'm asked to leave my bike with them for a week and that too it's not in my city. Is anyone making saddle stays specifically for R3. Appreciate your help.

Thats good. Glad u get Michelin tyres in stock size. My CBR's Apollo tyres have completed 17k kms. I'm thinking to use MRF tyres next time bcoz of stock tyre size. Loved Alpha H1's performance.Originally posted by Naveen88 View Post
