Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi all
So I noticed these green stains on my engine cover after riding the bike today morning. I don't know if this is from the bike or from something external. If anyone has had similar experiences please share on what the issue actually is. Should I be worried about coolant leak in this case?

That is defiantly a coolant leak, but it looks like it might be just an overflow from the reservoir container whose position is just above the area of leak.
Regardless take it to the svc and get it rectified ASAP. You might be having low level of coolant too now that some of it has leaked out.
Cheers

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thanks for the reply. But that being said it's only been 400 KMS after my first service. Basically a brand new bike. So coolant leak should probably be highly unlikely right? OR am I missing something.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostThat is defiantly a coolant leak, but it looks like it might be just an overflow from the reservoir container whose position is just above the area of leak.

Unlikely ? Yes, but not impossible! Better safe than sorry. If it was just an overflow because they filled in too much coolant at PDI or something then great, just make sure the coolant level is where it needs to be (in between the Max and Min indicator) and ride on.
Cheers

There were quite some offers provided by Bengaluru dealers in March-April 2018 during BS4 upgrade.Originally posted by R3 LOVER BANG View PostHello guys, is their any chance to get good discount on existing bs4 R3 in Bangalore?
Some of my friends got R3 and other bikes also.
Reach out to dealers like Bangalore Wheels, Pacer Yamaha and Perfect Riders.
Though there has been some waiting period, so all offers depend upon the availability of stocks.

I haven't ridden a ninja 300 but I have the honda. It's night and day. When I say thinly veiled danger I'm trying to describe the fact that the bike isn't a new rider centric experience like the 250's were and the Honda seems to be. The R3 has the potential to damage you at the first chance you give it. Compared to a 600 or a 1000, yes tame but if you ride it hard it's less forgiving than its counterparts.
