    Re: Hero Duet

Please give an update bro. Seems like you have clocked 5 k kms by now. I'm witnessing lotof maestro edge & duet in my city. My activa 125 engine oil is leaking. Seems like oil seal problem. This problem started after 4th free service. Don't know what nonsense service guys did.

No, the scooter has done 3951 km as of today. Here, they have just launched maestro edge.

Can you post a pic of oil leak? Be there when your scooter gets serviced so that you will know if anything goes wrong. Duet's oil leak problem has solved. No more oil leak now. The oil seal costs Rs.15. So it's not a big deal.

      Happy riding.

Hey bro, how are you? How is your duet doing? How is the service quality? My gearbox oil was overfilled hence it was leaking. Now there are no more leaks. I don't know what servicing they do in name of free service. Now my all free services are over. I have clocked 6.5k on my activa 125. It's running smoothly.

Hello, I'm doing good and so is the duet.

Unless you have a trusted mechanic in service centre, never leave your scoter there. They have each and every tool but too much careless!

Duet is at 4500 kms and getting ready for the 3rd free service.

          Happy mile munching.

What is the mileage you are getting bro? I'm getting 41 -42 kmpl on activa 125. Has CVT smoothened out?

            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

How does service due indicator work bro? There is no such indicator on activa 125. Please can you explain?

              Re: Hero Duet

Mileage is 53 kmpl. The scooter is strictly maintained speeds inbetween 40 and 55 kmph.

Yes, the CVT has smoothened. The engine revs easily.

The service indicator is a small spanner symbol in the display. I'm posting the page from the manual. You can get the clear idea.

The indicator blinks for a while and after 500 kms, it stays on. It can be turned off at the ASC only.

                Re: Hero Duet

When I was there at the Hero show room to take delivery of Edge, I have seen the Service manager resetting the service indicator on Maestro.

1: Turn Off the ignition key
2: Press the reset button (Keep it pressed )
3: Turn the Ignition ON (with reset button pressed), Keep the reset button pressed for 5 more seconds.
..and the service reminder (spanner display) has gone.!!
                +

I used to do almost similar way on my Tvs Wego..i,e Keep Pressing the mode switch/reset button, turn the ignition on and after few second and then turn the ignition key off.

Lol, so this was the mystery behind this.

I just turned it off now. Thanks

Thanks a lot bro. Seems like duet & maestro edge are giving activa a run for their money. I have seen lots of these at my town. It has given severe blow to Jupiter..

Congrats bro. Wishing you many thousands of miles of happy & safe riding. Has the engine refinement improved?

Today I saw a Duet in my city for the first time. It was a matte grey IIRC. Could only see from behind. The tail lamp looks very unique and the rear panels also have a unique design.

Thanks a lot. Yes the engine is very smooth. It revs freely upto 60 kmph now.

@Brezon, glad that you liked it.

Since now you have crossed 5k kms, seems like mileage should be above 50 kmpl. Also it appears that that hero have got engine right at very first attempt . There were many critics who were writing off hero since they split with Honda. Sir, would love to know your thoughts on this.
