If Side stand warning sound also there which will helpful as most of the time I used to forgot to fold the side stand in a hurry and resulting the side stand scratches down on the road..!
I usually close the fuel cap myself, for my own satisfaction. Also, will tell the filling guy to hold the fuel gun in an upright manner, without touching the walls of the tank nor the bottom.

I don't know about the side stand warning. I am telling what I know. In present 150cc hero bikes, the bike won't start if the side stand is engaged. The engine just cranks and dies. If the same is applicable to this scooter too, it would be good.

Completed 504 kms today and will hand over the scooter for the 1st free service tomorrow.

Got the 1st free service done on last week. It costed Rs. 348. Oil was replaced, water washed, greased where ever necessary, nitrogen was filled. The scooter was handed over to me in 3 hours.

The showroom guy called me yesterday that the side stand had arrived. So, went there and fixed it. The sensor for the stand is yet to arrive.

The odo stands at 814 kms as of today.

Overall, I'm a happy owner of the Duet!

So, it seems not very expensive services. Rs.348 including oil change is realistic..

Wonder, Why can't they bring side stand alongwith the Sensor.

How much you paid for the Side stand and you still need to pay additional for the sensor?

Yes, the service cost is ok. Only, the nitrogen costed Rs.40.

The side stand which has been fit now is not specifically made for this scooter. It belong to some other scooter. The mechanic told me that the sensor could also be fit along with this stand. If not, they will replace the stand.

          The stand fits perfectly.

The stand was Rs.97 mrp, but it was not charged. They did it for free. I don't have to pay for the sensor too!

The scooter has done 1500 kms. Engine is very refined. It vibrates a little in lower speeds like in between 15 and 30 kmph. After 30, till 55 kmph it is very smooth. Beyond 55, vibrations kick in a bit. Since me and dad ride at 50 kmph, there are nil vibrations.

The torque distribution is linear. It pulls cleanly from 0 to 50 with a slight twist of throttle.

Sorry I haven't ridden Activa 3g, so I'm not able to compare.

                Hope this helps.

Did you get the side stand sensor fixed by now? How it works - only an indicator or any buzzer sound also comes when the side stand is not folded up...?

No, I did not visit the ASC after the first free service. Will get it fixed at 2nd service, if it arrives.

Test rode a new splendor pro last week. It has a side stand indicator. Its a red light in the meter console which glows when the side stand is put on. No buzzer sound or anything.

I have the same side stand indicator in my passion pro 2014 model.

I own activa 125. Even activa 125 vibrates a bit at speeds between 15 to 30 kmph. It runs smoothly till about 55 kmph. Slight vibrations creep in for speeds upwards of 60kmph. Honda engines are overrated I guess. But hero has done tremendous job on their own engine at first go. They deserve pat on their back. BTW how is the built quality & fit & finish?

Yes, this is the first attempt by hero and they have done a good job. The build quality is good. I have posted some pics on page 1 of this thread. Do check it. Fit and finish is also fine. No panel gaps either. All I remember is that I use to ride my cousin's activa 2006 model. That pull was too good.

So this means you are satisfied with first indigenous product developed by hero. How is the ride quality & handling bro? They are claiming a lot about their suspension. Have they started 1 million test rides at your city. Seems like hero is going with all guns blazing to dethrone Honda in scooter segment.

                              Yes, I'm satisfied.

Regarding ride quality, it is smooth as said before. The switches are a bit small, or maybe I have big fingers!!

Handling wise, it is easy to ride, control even in morning traffic.

Suspension wise, one can really feel the difference between a bottom link and a telescope. It feels like a bike and takes potholes and bumps with ease. Hero has done a good job in this, I would say.

No, they have not started that.

Let us wait and see how the market responds.

                              Happy riding.
