Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Hello Everyone!
A quick question. I am hearing a wizzy sound from my bike(probably from the rear). There was also black deposit (like soot) at the rear wheel alloy. I took the bike to the SVC and the guys told that everything is OK and the sound is due to the vibration from front mudguard and this is nothing to worry.
My concerns were
1)could it be due to brake pads brushing against disc? - no unusual drop in engine speed was noticed. I tried using only the front/rear brakes for some distance and checked the unused brakes by touching with bare hands. No heating was observed.
2)Could it be improper torquing of the wheel nuts or sound from wheel bearing? - The guys at the SVC told that everything is properly torqued and there is nothing to worry.
Mine is a 3-day old bike. Any inputs/insights/help would be appreciated.Regards,

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
My advise? Don't panic.
Observe, if the wheel is tighten right, the braking discs are cold, and check if something do not touch your wheel. If all that is ok then you should not worry about.
If you start trying to read what it could be, you will go creazy for fear.
If this weezy Sound wil increasy then say it to the svc people.
A good thing is to meet another tnt25 user, and try to hear if his bike makes the same Sound.
It can be also your helmet, and the wind on them.

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Thanks Pal. I'm convinced that this could be the tire noise. The SVC guys are sure that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. I haven't crossed 5000 rpm since Engine is in run-in period.Originally posted by Beniamin_Mucha View PostI took my beauty Nelli on a 30km ride today.
It was 4 degree celsius only, but i had fun.
I haven't heard any wizzy sounds.
But my bike wizzzes at 7000rpms. This is normal sound for this engine.

Happy Mile Munching....Regards,

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
I had similar issues but not sure it's the same but worth checking it..the chain gaurd broke where it was being held close to the pillion foot rest , where I could hear some nosie while riding and black residue on the rear wheel..closer inspection reveled that the broke chain gaurd was touching the chain causing the noise and residue on the rear alloy..the gaurd seems to break if u happen to have gone on any pothole hard..made some temp fix till the next service and got it replaced in the next service and also purchased an extra gaurd to avoid going to svc just ib case it broke again..it costed 147Rs/- for each gaurd..hope this helps..Originally posted by raptor_17 View PostHello Everyone!

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Thanks, Mate. My first service is due soon. I will visually inspect myself ASAP and make a note at the SVC during my service.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostI had similar issues but not sure it's the same but worth checking it..the chain gaurd broke where it was being held close to the pillion foot rest , where I could hear some nosie while riding and black residue on the rear wheel..closer inspection reveled that the broke chain gaurd was touching the chain causing the noise and residue on the rear alloy..the gaurd seems to break if u happen to have gone on any pothole hard..made some temp fix till the next service and got it replaced in the next service and also purchased an extra gaurd to avoid going to svc just ib case it broke again..it costed 147Rs/- for each gaurd..hope this helps..Regards,

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Hello All.
My Raptor got its first service yesterday.
Cost break up
Engine oil change -. 885
Chain clean and lubing - 354
Total. - 1239
No oil filter change as it was not in stock.
Inspected the chain guard for any damages and it's clean. So, it could very well be the tire noise.Regards,

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Hello All,
Posting after quite a while. My Raptor has crossed 1000KM exactly on the 30th day of ownership
.
So far so good and I am happy with my bike.

Also, installed a mobile holder with charger for those long journeys. The installation was done at the Benelli Dealership.Regards,

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Hello All,
I recently did a 344 KM trip to my native place[One way]. I did the entire ride in 6 hours and 15 mins including 5 stops in between. All through the trip, I maintained an average of 85-90 Kmph since road conditions were EXCELLENT. The bike never felt short of breath. This was one awesome experience. I got an average of 33 KMPL during the trip.
PS: I need suggestion on what is the recommended Coolant for TNT 25. My Coolant level is low and I need to top it up before my return trip.
