  • Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience

Got 2nd service done. Cost Approx 3500/-. No change in performance, but got clutch adjusted(tightened), the problem of difficult neutral seems resolved now.
I also opted for 2 more things:
-Extended warranty of 2 years: This brings bike warranty to total of 4 yrs from date of purchase. Cost 2233/-. Its worth if you ask me, as all new bikes come with 4 yrs now, this is opportunity provided by Benelli to cover additional 2 years for old customers at reasonable price. It ends this month-end, so grab quickly.
-Trizact treatment 1yr plan @ 4900/-. This gives 6 treatments to bike for polishing which includes superior polish to protect paint from UV, acid rain, bird drops etc. they also polish seats & complete bike fiber/plastic parts with special coat. Washing bike is also part of this 6 treatments. So overall I will not say exactly worth it but good to protect your baby & pamper it. Difference is good after treatment, but on my way back home the whole bike got sprayed with mud, so got it washed again from local garage. But definitely worth during winter & summer for maintaining the shine

Also got below benelli souvenir for myself to complement my bikes red look

Yesterday my security leaned on the bike while on paddock stand and the bike has fallen down towards left.
My handle bar got bend slightly.
Taking her to service center today

I did find extended warranty cheap BUT.....

There is BUT because after extended warranty you are tied up again with service center to service your bike every 4 months or 4K KM.

And that is again a damage of almost 4K every service, I don't really understand DSK charging 2K for service of 250CC.

I mean in service other than some usual stuff of changing oil and filter I don't see why it so expensive.

I mean this is most expensive bike service charge for 250CC at least , I mean 2K service charge common DSK you are taking people for granted.

Thats sad to hear. Do visit SVC. And also the cost of new Handle bar is around 3k to 4K which is quite expensive so if possible insist on straightening of handle bar instead of changing it completely if damage is repairable.

I have also purchased the extended warranty. Agree with point made by Bikelover regarding their expensive services but issue is that we cannot trust any outside garage to service our bikes and also not aware of any garages which are specialized to service such expensive bikes. I woul like to know if any such garages are there in Pune or Mumbai.
Extended warranty brings peace of mind of parts replacements which gets kaput for example last month my bikes stator coil gone bad which got changed under warranty and from past two days my bikes speedometer have stopped working i checked with svc they said that some sensors probably need to be changed but they will confirm once the inspect the fault. And as the parts of this bikes are quite expensive with extended warranty we can have quite relief that atleast faulty parts (except wear and tear) post basic warranty will be covered.
Last month when i was at svc i just inquired about the cost of bare handle bar of our Tnt 25 and i was blew out of my shoes when i heard the price of it which was around whooping 3K to 4K which is quite high for a handle bar so i just guessed what will be the price of other components and if they fail outside warranty period then it can be quite steep.
          Thanks,
          Anway Kale.

Took permission from office and i visited the Benelli showroom today morning. Have paid the remaining amount of the vehicle. Delivery is taking place before this week i guess. Sales guys says that the company delays the whole process(idk how far its true). Only accessory i'm gonna buy from the showroom as of now is the Benelli cap which is priced at Rs. 495.

Just a doubt, the guy who has put IXIL exhaust(in the video above) makes his warranty void. Am i right?

I have been a silent follower of this thread from the starting itself. While i was searching for a great bike i came to know about the oncoming Benelli tnt 25 launch last December... At the first moment itself i fell in love with the bike. After some months i went to the showroom in kochi and took a test drive of the red Italian beauty... After that test drive my search for a bike was over... I finalised on buying this bike and booked it later.
**** After some painful days of waiting (took nearly a month) i was lucky to own my own Benelli TNT 25 on march 2nd... It was a beautiful bike and apart form the vibration and the breaking issues it was a* great bike to ride. After completing 2months of joyful riding i was met with an accident on May 7th due to the lack of breaking power of my bike. Even though it was a minor accident some damage to the handle bar, mirrors, rear side panels etc was damaged. I called RSA and they responsibly took the bike to the service center. This is where the actual pain of owning a DSK product begins... After the accident till today my bike is in the service center waiting for the parts to come... I have called and personally visited the service center to enquire about the delay, but all they can say is that they have already made request for the parts and there's nothing they can do. There are skilled people in the workshop but they are helpless until the required parts are available.
*** I have mailed to DSK Benelli about this but they told me "the appropriate measures are taken and my bike will be available soon" but even after 2months they couldn't deliver the parts. This shows the bad after sale service by the DSK Benelli... I got fed up with this waiting... I wrote this to warn you all about the "services and support" promised by the DSK Benelli at the time of buying this bike.

                                Hey guys,
UPDATE - Got my bike today. Todays was the 34th day since it was in the service centre. The solution they had for me is they changed the whole engine , also new engine caused the coolent system seal to leak so they also got a new seal for me from chandigarh service centre. They told me that they have placed a huge order of parts and they may come soon. Also looking at a fellow member condition above whose bike is in the service since 2 months i guess they are really importing very less parts , they have a shortage nation wide. They charged me for oil, oil filter and that seal. I went for motul 7100 this time. The showroom guys have 3 sets of stickers in stock costing 1250 each. I may get a set named "civil war" which is more black and white with red tinch in it soon.
