One thing i dont like about platina is the seat height which is not very suitable for me(I am little above than 5'1"). One question is the ct100B have lower seat height than platina?
Well, from Bajaj Auto's official website, the ground clearance for Platina 100 is 190mm whereas for CT100 its 169 mm, kind of 22 cm difference. Don't know how much difference it will make for your seat height. May be some experienced person can comment on this

          Re: Bajaj CT100B

I have already purchased bajaj ct 100b on 14 of this month.Engine is smooth in this model as compared to platina 2013 model.
I am searching for second hand bike for my office commute because i already have pulsar 200ns and 6 months Old Splendour plus with me.but both the bikes suffering from scratches due to to unknown reasons.it really hurts me.
I think paying 20000for second hand bike and if any problem occurs in the engine department i have to spend near about 5000-6000 than why not put some 10000 _15000 more rupees and to buy brand new ct100b with 2 year Warranty on the bike and engine.everything new with good mileage.finally peace of mind.

The engine used in the bajaj ct 100,boxer,old platina(single spark plug).is the most reliable engine from bajaj till date and i don't know how engine based on ktm will perform in the long run.

I have ride both say around 4000km. Splendor has everything except mileage and less comfort whereas ct100b has mileage and not good in handling department and low quality parts as compared to splendour.

Both have there pros and cons.

If you want bike with excellent mileage and comfort but compromise on quality than go with the bajaj ct100.65kmpl plus mileage overall.

If you want bike with excellent quality and handling but compromise on mileage and pick up than get the hero splendor. 55kmpl average overall.

                Note: both engines are reliable.

What are the cons of low quality parts except you have to change it frequently in comparison to good quality parts.

No you don't have to change it frequently. Like the wire, paint quality in the switches and the heat shield on the exhaust is looking cheap as compared to splendour. By the way you r saving around.8000 rupees with ct100 alloy wheel. The engine also feel more refined than the splendor and runs freely as compared to splendour.

88kmpl is a sweet mileage. I guess they're very few bikes that can achieve this.
Do tell us at what speed you ride usually. What's maximum speed you took it and how it performed under that speed?

After my TVS vs Bajaj thread, I just bought Bajaj CT100B few minutes ago. Its 8PM, hence will update pics tomorrow. But here is little bit of experience. Bought from SELECT BAJAJ in Habsiguda, Hyderabad. Guys look desi but honest. Rest time will tell. By the time I reached home after 2km of first ride, I realized these:
                                1. Indicators not working
                                2. Bike was already been used for 24 km, thats what odometer said, 26K and I was
                                3. Horn stopped working halfway home
                                4. Indicator Buzzer is not giving beep-silent-beep but non-stop continuous beep.

Why all this happened. Any ideas from your experiences ?

P.S. I was sad at first and angry but then I realized, Its real life, shit happens. Will go tomorrow to them and get everything corrected.

EDIT: Went to the dealer. Mechanic said, battery is dead abd they will charge it for 30 min and give me back then. I told him I just bought it last night and its new battery and its dead, I asked for a replacement. They replaced in front me without any hesitation. All the above problems are corrected. Here are some pics, please bear with my fixed-focus camera of Lenovo phone:

Bought for approximately 39K from SELECT BAJAJ in Habsigudawith all accessories:
                                1. Seat-Cover
                                2. Petrol-Tank Cover
                                3. Saree-Guard
                                4. Leg-Guard
                                5. 2 more accessories I no longer remember
                                6. Side-Box bought for 650/- and Petrol-Lock for 130/- from Raghuvendra Automobiles, Habsiguda on Habsiguda-Nacharam road. His shop on left-side when you are going from habsiguda to Nacharam. No bargaining he does. When I tried he said price is correct and fixed, will not change.
                                7. Fitting I did from Shakoor Bhai, 1-2 shops earlier than Raghuvendra Automobiles. He took 40/- for Petrol-Lock and 150/- for Side-Box. No bargaining here either.
                                8. Helmet is STUDDS CHROME, 1100/- with bill, from Javed Bhai's shop on PATNEY junction. His shop is 2nd from beginning of row. First shop owner has 3-4 guys sitting outside his shop who catch customers from road but the owner himself neither respects customers nor he talks well.

                                Hi arnuld,

After reading your thread on Bajaj CT100B and other's input on the same, i too book my Bajaj CT100B on 10-Oct-2016. The delivery date is around 17-oct-2016. It cost me 40k on-road in Mumbai. This is going to be my first bike. I am already feeling scared to ride a bike. Havent ridden any before. I have booked the one with Black and blue decals. Have bought helmet from Vega. Any input for a newbie rider like me is welcomed.
