Do give details whenever you do it. Thanks and best wishes.

    I want to know:
1)whether the CT100 magnet can handle that extra load,
2)whether it will affect battery charging, as current is now diverted for headlamp.
3)can this potentially fry the circuits/electricals?
If someone has done this successfully/unsuccessfully, please let me know your experience and what materials were used

The above questions are based on whatever I could read online, but for some other bikes, it's applicability in this scenario is debatable. Also a successful experience should help fellow CT100 owners modify their headlamp assembly should they wish to do so.

She has arrived! After completing PR formalities the SVC people dropped her off at my house, sorry for the crappy pics as that's all mom could manage. I'm still at my workplace and would only ride home tomorrow evening. Feeling super excited.

Bag on tank and hook that's set up on suspension mount are cheap accessories that the SVC includes after over pricing and adding to bill. I usually make a fuzz and make sure they don't add these to the bike and overcharge me, but this time I missed out on those and only noticed when mom sent me the pics.

Lol okay. I asked to check if they cheated me by not giving some accessories :P

It's been 1 week I've been riding CT100B. I'm facing a few issues, if someone could help me with them.

                1. When starting the bike in the morning, when I put the bike in gear and start to release clutch and give throttle the engine starts to die. Does the engine need warming up? It's 30 degrees here. When the engine feels like it will die I let it stand for sometime and giving few throttles without putting in gear. It feels sometimes engine will die but then engine jumps back to life again. Anyone else facing the same issue?

                2. After managing to hiccup and jerky start from 1st gear, when I put the bike in 2nd gear and ride I face huge jerks (not quite often as when starting the bike) when the rpm starts to fall, and I race again to raise the rpm. Emptiness is felt in between throttle.

                3. I noticed the engine oil window, it was goldenish when I brought it. But now it seems dark brown in color. I mean the engine oil.

Did anyone go through or is going through the same issues?

1 & 2 - Set AFR to recommended optimum, rule of thumb for Round slide carbs is 2~2.5 Turns. Start when bike is extremely hot set idle to a little higher than you'd like I to be and by little I mean minute. Ideally it's recommended to set when cold so that the bike won't stall, but I do it the other way.

3 - Assuming that yours is a new bike, the blow by would be more as the rings have not yet formed a proper seal, hence contamination would be higher which is also why the change interval is set at 500kms the first time.

Okay thanks for inputs. I got the carb tuned again at the svc, the problem is less now. They said I must warmup sufficiently before riding in the morning.

From what you posted yesterday, I presume you'll get your hands on today evening, right?

                      1. How do we get the seat off? I can't wait to get rid of that shitty tank bag.

                      2. Got the bike at around 25KM's on the odo, I rode her for some more and she rests at 52KM's' starting was easy, 5 kicks with clutch pressed in and the ignition off, 4 normal kicks with the ignition still off, after which I turned the ignition and kicked once when the motor came to life. This is my first motorcycle without a self starter.

                      3. Idiots hadn't adjusted the clutch adequately there was too much slack, hence I had adjusted the clutch and both brakes before taking her out for a spin, surprisingly the tool kit lacked the adequate size spanner to adjust clutch and brakes, hence I've added it from my collection.

                      4. With my weight, she needs to cross 40kmph to be able to comfortably be shifted to 4th gear. Overall the ride was fun.

                      5. My back hurts. Need some getting used to.

                        1. I've been trying to figure the same. Looks like the seat is bolted.

                        2. Did you warm up the bike before taking off? Also did you face any missings in throttle while revving up? How was the power delivery and pickup, crispy or laggy?

Power delivery was out right shitty as my previous long term 100cc experience was with the Discover 100 4G, but nonetheless it was smooth but nowhere as near crispy as the D100.

The bike was idle for over 26 hours when I started it. Since the bike is literally brand new I'm not surprised that she started with the first kick with ignition on. As for warming up, I warm up all my rides for 2mins, it's a habit.

Also I just realised that we need to take our hand off the handle to adjust the beam, that's a bummer. The indicator switch reminds me of my Kiney days.

The headlight switch. I cannot seem to be able to use it without taking my hand off the throttle. In my P220 and the other motorcycles I've used it was easy to operate, especially switch between high and low beam. Now I just keep the beam at high and upshift to dim and downshift to pass, pun intended.

BTW to add. Does the motorcycle come with indicator buzzer from factory? Cause mine seem to have them preinstalled.

Also in the Discover 100 when you're climbing an incline and the motorcycle is close to knocking if we open the throttle past a specific point the timing retards and the bike climbs well, is it the same for CT100?
