But sometimes when I put 4th gear after 2 seconds it feels gear is stuck then it become normal.

Mostly the gear shifter doesn't come up it sticks there mostly in 2gear

Best means of finding out would be by setting the bike on main stand (so that your rear wheel is freely rotating) with the engine idling try upshifting and downshifting without using clutch. If you feel the bike is shifting without any issues then that would mean that your clutch is sticking, in which case try going in for an oil change.

You might be very light cause below are my shifting speeds.

      1~2 - 20 kmph.
      2~3 - 35 kmph.
      3~4 - 50 kmph.

At around 2.2K kms today morning she topped out at 90 kmph on the Speedo on a slight incline.
Can't say that I'm light since I'm few kg above 90. And the speed which i quote for gear change was an estimate. You can add 4 to 5 kms for each gear.

And you said on ct100b you change 4th gear at 50. Don't you think it's little above the prescribed speed.

Today i checked the tyre pressure from my own pressure gauge. Shockingly rear tyre showed 46 and front showed 36. Then i deflated both the tyres and kept the rear at 33 and front at 30. Is it the right pressure?

I tried to PM you but it says your storage is full.sorry for posting here.
Running on stock front cable. I guess it's about 90cms long.

A delay and a tak sound before engaging? Thats normal.

Did you try shifting in mainstand as mentioned in my previous post?

I'm a couple of kg' shy of the 120kg mark. Guess that answers that.

As for upshifting, I don't crack open the throttle i just keep it steadily open and use climbs to the aforementioned speeds. And while climbing inclines if i shift early say at 40~45 kmph the motorcycle would almost knock.

Jokes apart I guess I'm the only guy I know of who ran out of fuel in one state and pushed the motorcycle across to the next state to refill.
Yeah, you are the only Guy I know who has pushed motorcycle from one state to another to fill fuel

You are very right about lightness of bike, its really a boon when I get stuck in tight parking spaces of Hyderabad. Its dimensions are smaller too compared to other bikes which helps in maneuvering in traffic. I measured mileage from reserve to reserve I got 72 km. This includes driving 50-50 in B2B and average traffic. I think its pretty good figure.

@Rahul_Seeker: Dude, I will say your shifting gear at wrong speeds (2nd around 10, 3rd around 20, 4th around 30). I have done that same on 100B and bike does not seem to like it. Here is my what I do now:

              1~2 - 20 kmph.
              2~3 - 35 kmph.
              3~4 - 45 kmph.

and try checking forum threads on platina and see what they say about it, talk to some owners offline, I talk to anyone I find on road, bus stop or bank or even while drinking juice on roadside stalls, if they have the bike I like. You will know several things that way.

Thanks for the advice arnuld. I hope you are doing doing well now.
I explained in another post that i don't change gears at exact same speed. You can add 4 to 5 kms for each gear. Practically no one can change gears at exact speed everytime.
                Owner's manual says 2nd @ 16~19, 3rd @ 28~34 and 4th @ 40~48.
I went to the service station. Service guy adjusted the speed. He told it was too high. Maybe because of that i was shifting close to lower end of the optimum shifting speed.
What does ct100's owner manual recommends regarding optimum shifting speed?

Well, you are right about no one can change gears at the exact speed. I can't locate where is my user manual, after I read it fully I misplaced it somewhere. When you ride then engine tells you (kind of) that you need to change year gear up/down and at that moment gear shift is very smooth, tiny bit of push changes the gear. I calculated my gear change speed according to that.

Changed oil at after running for 2K kms at 2750kms on the Odo, the change was well deserved as the shifting was starting to get sticky. She still runs on Veedol 20W50.

In the mean while I've ordered Acerbis handguards for her as she's my daily for the 120Kms office runs. They cost 1.8k including shipping and would arrive in the upcoming few days. Heres a picture.

Hello Members, let me introduce myself; I am Vishal from Surat. I was following this thread silently since long back but was not having any point to poke my nose so kept quite and enjoyed conversation between you guys. Now let me share something with you

I got this today, just 2 hours back. It is still lying in Showroom as I want to take delivery with my Mom

This is BS-III version and it costed me 37,000 INR On-Road. I will share my experience with you guys. I have bought this bike mainly to commute from my Home to Office, which is 39.4 KMS apart, from this mainly it will be highway run so I am expecting some good figures in regards of average.

UPDATE AFTER A DAY USAGE - May 08, 2017 - After using bike for 100 kilometers, the experience is awesome. Pickup is good (as expected) Gear shifting is soft like butter (This I was not expecting, as I am having good experience of Bajaj vehicles in past ), Head light is very powerful but need to adjust as the bean is very high. All indicators & lights are working and just waiting for battery as Bajaj gave me battery without charging . Morning Starting is bit difficult as I am kicking 4 times with clutch pressed, then 4 kicks with ignition off & then single kick brings engine to life, but once when engine starts, I need to apply throttle a bit to keep it alive for while. After 20+ seconds I can release throttle and she will idle on her own. Ride quality is excellent and cannot feel much on rough roads. All these days I am making sure that I do not cross 45 KMPH mark.

Yes you are right, this is CT 100 and also this is BS3 Version.

Today I gave it for service and the average I got was 85 KMPL. I am mostly driving her on Highways and also not exceeding 40 KMPH. During a week usage I came across 2 issues, in which tube of front tyre got damage so replaced it and secondly Speedometer's Needle started shaking so checked it out and it was due to worn out Warm Gear, which Showroom people replaced it for free! I would like to say that Staff of Aakar Motors, Vapi are really very helpful and they have built very good relationship with me now.

                          I will keep posting updates.

                                Hello!

This Saturday, May 27, 2017 - I took bike for long journey (about 275 kilometers) and due to some reasons, things went wrong with schedule. I started 3 hours late and later on I was told that we have very strict time limit, so I decided to push the bike to it's limit. I did continuous top speed offered by bike and covered about 250 kilometers at really very high speed and with long duration (about 100 kilometers in a go & then break of 10-15 minutes). The top speed I got on Speedometer was 110 KMPH and it showed 105 on GPS on flat road.

The weather was windy but that did not affected ride quality of bike and I was having control all the way. Bike performed that well, that on high speeds, I was able to get my cell phone and click pics & took video and kept driving with one hand. Not to forget that Engine didn't gave to deliver required power all the time but at cost of mileage. For this high speed, I got mileage of about 45-47 kmpl, but that is OK with me as time was important. Click image for larger version
