Awesome. On what roads did you take these readings?

Within Mumbai city limits, steady 35-40kmph. Minimal brake and clutch use, 90% early morning or night driving & 10% moderate traffic conditions. By the way the 2nd time reserve is yet to set in. The previous reserve was at 5985kms, I filled 1.29L i.e. Rs.100/- worth of petrol. Current odometer reading is 6087, no reserve yet.

Seems like your bike is delivering 100% on mileage front. [emoji108]

            Thanks, Rahul & Pique.
            I did it myself.

Similar technique to what simplygmail described, adjust air control screw at max.rpm. Once idling set near 1300. Fine tune air control screw to ensure minimal idling fluctuations. Had a engine tachometer with me to do the needful.

Not really. A tachometer is just an added bonus. I wanted to up my game, so bought it. Listening to the regularity of the engine beat carefully, gets me real close to the final setting too. All the best. What's your update w.r.t. Platina comfortec es BSIV?

Well they have called me 2 times just to sell their BSIII version bikes. I think they are still clearing their stock.

I went to Bajaj showroom today. Unfortunately they don't have test ride bike for CT100B. The bike feels really comfortable to sit on. When enquired about the warranty they said 2 years engine warranty and 1 year battery warranty. I asked if i face problem with any other part then, they said I'll have to bear the cost.

My question to existing owners is if they have the same type of warranty? And if yes, then have they faced by replacement cost of any part in the initial period of the bike.

Bajaj warranty has in the past covered Engine, chain, chainwheels, speedometer, cables, speedometer gears, headlight etc. Painted parts, wear and tear are not covered. However if your petrol tank should start leaking within even a few months, it has to and will be covered. Anything that is a manufacturing defect should be covered. Battery & more specifically Tyres do not have Warranty by Bajaj, but they have to assist you with it.

But you didn't answer my question bro.

Is your bike covered fully or just the engine under warranty?

My bike is 12 years old and not covered by any warranty anymore. Does that answer your current question?
Current warranty policy if changed can be updated by arnuld or simplegmail.
When my bike was covered under warranty, all the parts I mentioned were covered.

Ask them what according to them is 'Engine'
Engine is the entire gearbox, block/piston/crank/con-rod, head/valves/timing chain.
Bajaj will replace even other parts such as speedometer, electrical (cdi, rr unit etc..), carburettor under their standard warranty.
What 'other part' are you looking for ?
Some parts that wont be covered under warranty (unless say it conks out in a couple of days or abnormal damages) are things like cables, clutch plates, brake shoes, rims, bulbs etc.. i.e. consumable/periodic part replacements.
Tires and battery are warranted by their respective manufacturer and bajaj should help you claim warranty on them if necessary (and i've seen them do it)
If you still have a doubt, go ahead and email bajaj customer service.. and get it from their mouth.
These Svc folks will always try to avoid going the warranty claim way.. so one has to be persistent and polite with them to get the work done. They deal with all types of customers and some are outright ignorant and rude and these guys have some strict regulations on warranty replacements. A good rapport does surely help.
