Any suggestion or tips from you people will be, as always, appreciated.

    thanks
Call up the Lower Parel ASC, tell them that you had purchased it from their Sales side, you have mileage issue esp. after 1st service you just want a carburettor tune up.

Take a copy of your Registration Certificate with you.

Ask if they can just do a tune up without using a free service coupon or charges, as it is only 1500kms since the previous service at a Bajaj ASC, which is far away from your residence.

I think the name of the Service Advisor @ Lower Parel was Mr. Sandeep, can confirm it by evening today, if needed.

Get it done, if it is bearing on your mind too much. Your vehicle's fuel efficiency is better than what it was before and will improve in your next servicing. @4500kms they will be draining your engine oil, right? Using your free svc coupon now will be a bit early in terms of oil change and time in between svcs.

Alternatively call and then go to Andheri ASC and tell them they have ruined the Fuel Efficiency of your vehicle & get them to rectify it. This may end up being simpler. And then you can take your vehicle to Lower Parel ASC post 4500kms.

Congratulations. Welcome to the econo'miser' club. [emoji12]
The bike is a good one. Drive patiently and steadily. It will last a very long time with you.

The ones who are buying bikes, you may also ask the ASC about extended warranty offers during the service visits and to intimate you regarding the same. Inquire whether they have Annual Maintenance Contracts. Saves costs.

                    I test rode the ComforTech yesterday along with the CT100B, I'd have to say the gearbox refinement of the Platina is astounding compared to the CT100B and the overall refinement and low end torque is also commendable. Plus as its DTSi the expected fuel efficiency is also way higher than the CT100B, in spite of the Platina winning on all rounds I chose to stick with the CT100B due to the following factors;

                    1. I'm piss-poor, and at 45,200 I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to skip the chance to go for this beauty.
                    2. I'm a function-over-form kinda guy, so the bare-bone CT100B had more appeal than the remaining bikes in the lot.
                    3. The motor working on the CT100 is a classic and within India it almost has a cult following as much as the Splendor motor does.

You have a Gixxer 155. Still you want to buy a CT100, why? (Based on your profile and previous query). Please answer my question too.

Now answering your question, lest you repeat your actions like you have done earlier, of highlighting that your questions have not been directly answered.

                          Short answer:
                          1) Better mileage and power for similar or slightly lesser costs.
                          2) Improved Bajaj quality, deterioration in erstwhile HH and now Hero quality.
                          3) Easy availability of spares,
                          4) Low maintenance as compared to other bikes.

                          Longer version:
100cc engine shared by CD100/Splendor/Passion had a cult following due to the mileage they brought, which was exceptional as compared to the other prevalent bikes of the 80s /90s.

And then Bajaj comes in with a bike with Kawasaki based improvised Boxer engine that promises 101kmpl (twice that of the original Boxer), then within a year an 108kmpl upgrade (exhaustec engine, sns suspension and 17" inch wheels version) and deliver 80+ kmpl easily with regularity as opposed to the 70kmpl with the CD 100/Deluxe/Dawn/ 65kmpl with the splendor (54kmpl in city) & 60kmpl of the Passion (personal and friends' experience).

Also the seat is longer, less vibrations perceived, with engine and gear shifting smoother than an HH.

I spent a lot less in maintaining my bike than my roomies with Splendors and Passion (even if taking into account a comparison just for the fuel), as I had an added advantage of the extended warranty offer by Bajaj where I got it for 5 years from DoP.

Note: Apologies to HH / Hero fans for hurting your sentiments, and as a CT100 owner, I may appear to be biased. But I base my view on my shared experiences with HH/Hero/Bajaj bikes.

My work is based is Rural parts, unlike what it was couple of years ago when I bought gixxer. So gixxer's ergonomics, suspension and alloy wheels were not something very rural road friendly. Try riding a gixxer on kaccha road you will know what I'm saying. Plus the mileage was also an issue. Not that it was less, but I wanted to save as much as I can. I have already sold it a couple of months back, and wanting to ask my father for more money doesn't suit me. So I decided to go for a bike that's pocket friendly and father friendly :P

P.S. I got my red coloured baby today. Hope to have a good time with it. I'm loving every bit of it right now.

The engine has been around from the Kawasaki days it is as frugal as a motor can be, parts availability is also not an issue be it OEM or after market. The Splendor variants and CT100 variants have a higher resale compared to its counterparts solely due to this, ask any mechanic whose been around for long would swear by these two motors. BTW the motor has not only serviced the CT100 series but other series in the Bajaj stable as well making it older than the Pulsar series as well.

Mine is BS3 and last year around this time it was 37k OTR, a few months back it was 42k, hence I wasn't surprised to see 45.2k printed on the price list.

The Platina is overall a better bike than the CT100, and it was 13k more than the CT100B. Ideally I would've gone for it or the Splendor Classic which was put out at 6~10k discounts due to stock clearance, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
