Yes same every where don't know why but yes it is a significant hike.Originally posted by vaisakhanoop View PostHey everyone,
I happen to visit the service center today and they just informed me that the rear view mirrors of dominar got a price hike. What was used to cost around ₹400 is now only available for ₹1500. Its a massive price hike. Or more than ₹1000. I don’t know what changed over here. Can someone shed some light on this.

Don't bother replacing before 50k or unless having issues with travel. Fork oil doesn't cost more than 100 Rupees, but the cost of service will be much higher.Originally posted by zini3 View PostI have ridden 17k+ km in my dominar and I have never changed the fork oil. Shall I change the oil if yes then how much will it cost?

Thankyou for replying bro! I have not yet broken the seal of the bottle, so first I'll check if the coolant I bought can be used in bikes or not[emoji846]Originally posted by ashwanth.r View PostYou first mix 200 ml of the concentrate with 800 ml of distilled water bought from battery shop to get 1 litre of your coolant. Mix this well and then use the required amounts in the radiator and tank.
If you need little more, you can add 20 ml concentrate to 80 ml water.
I hope this coolant can be used for aluminium radiator/engine. Some coolants for trucks can have nitrates (to coat cast iron engine blocks and prevent rust). That should not be used in your Dominar. Most cars today have only Al engine/radiators.

On the pack mixing ratio is mentioned as C:W = 1:4, since the radiator takes 750ml and 250 ml goes into resorver in what consistency should I mix coolant and water? And do I need to use distilled water or normal water to make coolant mix.
P.S. - I've never changed coolant myself so am asking.

Instead, it forms a protective oxide layer which further prevents corrosion. This is some sort of after paint over the rim which seems to have difficulty staying on the rims. You have actually sanded off some of the paint off the rims.
Could you post a picture of how it looks after you sanded it?
I wash my vehicle myself without pressure washers , just a plain hose. So no, it is not due to pressure washing.

But my warranty period is over... I found a solution for this on internet.... I polished it with 180, 240,600 and 2000 grid sandpaper .. all the corrosion gone and also the shine of the aluminum is gone... I need to buy some polish and rub it onto it for regaining shine.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Polishing won't help as it would have corroded the aluminum a little bit. Also using abrasive materials would reduce its strength.. It is better to paint the alloy Wheels Completely with your favourite color or just accept and start living with it.Originally posted by Bipolar6326 View PostMy warranty period also over bro.. it was on april 2020... So no hope.. is this reversible by any means??

It is because the diamond cut aluminium part got corroded by the soap water during water wash..
I don't think Bajaj will replace this under warranty..
