Has anyone solved their tappet noise issue by using any particular engine oil other than stock?

Can you please list down all oils used which still didnt solve the noise? Im looking to change oil on mine but have to try multiole..so will avoid those which didnt make any diff to tappet noise..

Leg guard looks neat than the older one.
I wish it will fit the old bs4 bike.

Negative LCD display and improved headlight is a good move by Yamaha. Though the light is not that powerful but still it'll be better than the bs4 version. Only 6th gear is missing. The refinement may increase let's see.

yes, but looks like old leg guard won't fit with it, gotta replace it with new one. also there's led indicators available as accessories for 1490rs.

front mudguard looks to a bit wider and longer now. ( to protect exhaust pipe from mud baking and turning orange )

Carbon is the result of incomplete combustion and it is different from the golden/brownish varnish residue you usually find on the intake tract.

There is an explanation that says that the close proximity of this residue to the engine head results in the residue getting baked and resulting in what Paul has found, this explanation I feel again is far fetched due to the same not being evident on motorcycles of the past irrespective of them being enabled with SAI or not but then we do not have anything else to prove cause and effect.

As for backfiring, it shouldn't happen on a FI motorcycle that is running well, there are no two ways about it. In fact the only time I've experienced backfiring was when I was dialing in a VM28 in my ZMA, even on the stock carb with upsize jets it did not backfire which gives us a clear idea of how off the AFR setting has to be for a motorcycle to backfire.

As for Bad Fuel, Blow-By etc etc, Yes, more carbon is formed, BUT on a healthy stock engine there is no reason for it to wind up in the intake tract, cause flow is not bi-directional under normal circumstances.

So unless there is a specific reason resulting in carbon ending up in the intake tract, we'd have to settle with the explanation of the residue being cooked by the heat from the engine, the only reason we've not experienced the same on our motorcycles of the past could be because they were not running as lean as the current motorcycles to heat up so much.

Oh, i thought you were asking about projector. yes they can fix extra washers at SVC, in case they ask, these washers are used in engine mounting bolts.

Bro the stock LEDs are completely fine for me since am a i city user mostly....will they fix the extra washers for the vibration?
