Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have been using these for over a year. Highly satisfied with them. They do tend to blind the incoming traffic if used injudiciously, but are very very helpful in places without street lightening or on highways. Attaching a picture for brightness reference.Originally posted by Sird View Post

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Best option would wait for adventure 390 launch then test ride it to see the softness. Being an adventure the shocks will be softer and itll be a direct fit as both are literally same bikes.Originally posted by arifkhanz View Postthanks for the comments bro,
Yes , what you said is correct, the suspension character does depends on the bikes weight also,
but I still feel that UG's shocks on our bikes will be softer than the WP'S, I have to test it out ,but its unfortunate that getting the UG'S suspension just for the testing is not an easy task, [emoji3525]
Infact even I find the shocks too stiff for our pothole filled Bangalore roads, so I have turned the rear to complete soft but the front still throws us on bad roads[emoji1].
Even I considered that removing oil from front but mechanic say we cant remove the oil from top as it's a diff setup compared to d125 which is based on old d200. I doubt this true but I dont have the necessary tools to remove the oil.Last edited by abhiiceman; 01-15-2020, 11:03 AM.

Someone here on the forum has also shared that by reducing amount of fork oil can reduce the stiffness. Amount to be reduced should be same from both forks.

bro , have you felt significant change in the shocks play after reducing the fork oil level?

can we fit the dominar 400 UG's front upside down forks directly to our d390?
I might sound silly , but as am looking more towards long distance touring and ridability+comfort on broken roads the stock WP feels too much stiff.
I need something which can give me a plush ride ( I can compromise the cornering stability) and direct fit without much tampering on the existing setup.
What i have felt from seeing the UG's suspension is that its designed the same way as the WP's with a softer spring set-up,
If someone have knowledge about this please shed some light here,
also any rough idea about the cost of UG's suspension?

Absolutely no clue or idea. As I said, too many tom, dick and harry Chinese brands, it's hard to know what's what out there.Originally posted by Sird View PostAny thoughts on GoldRunWay led's?
Found today that 40W - close to 7k lumens.
Costs around 14k with 1 year warranty.
Cheers!

Any thoughts on GoldRunWay led's?Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostMost of the Indian branded ones are in fact Chinese imported ones, renamed and sold as their own brands, basically white label stuffs imported from China. Secondly, Cyclops, Hepco, Baja Designs are some unheard of name brands are sold in India which are outrageously expensive. You can use spot beam type LED AUX lamps, if aligned properly they offer very good throw and beam pattern. Of course these are available locally. You can get good deal on Cyclops if you have someone abroad who can source it for you, that way you save lot of money.
Cheers!

Hate the Chinese showoffs that serves no purpose.
Denali and other similar ones are super expensive.
Any recommendations for any brand / specific aux lights that is affordable?
Cheers!

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If you are talking about Rosso 2 W rated ones then I second to it, it'll be fine till 10-12K kms, then thread level wears off very rapidly post that, the new concentrate roads everywhere is also causing more tyre wear than normal asphalt roadOriginally posted by aswin_93 View PostRosso 2 should run comfortably 10k but then falls off very sudden. During a trip my rear tyre had done around 9.5k and looked ok and I assumed I would change it once I got back. Did about 1000kms and the state of the tyre was like this:
The grip levels are good specially in loose sand/gravel where Metz usually have a tendency to spin the wheels whereas never had this problem with the Rosso
.
+1 for the grip levels in wet/dry/gravel roads, wheel never goes off line even under hard acceleration nor fish tails under hard engine braking.
Only downside it costs close to 1.5-2x cost of a Metz and has 5K kms life than compared to the Metz.Last edited by kiran2508; 01-13-2020, 11:14 AM.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
fork oil seal on my duke 200 was replaced under warranty when it gave and caused a leak. i only paid for the fork oil. Labor and fork oil seal parts were not charged.Originally posted by Varun Sirohi View PostMy front left shock is leaking badly, the bike was standing still for few days, Bike is under warranty but i guess it is not covered under warranty, just wanted to confirm whether it is or not. If not what will be the charges for repairing it.
this was around 3.5yrs ago. if you have a good rapport with the svc they will do it, if not they will charge you for everything declining warranty. not sure what ktm's official stand on this is.
Cost will be around 300 for labor, 250 for fork oil (it comes in a 480ml bottle iirc, but the recommended qty is 450ml per fork, don't over fill) and fork oil seal kit is around 300.. so in all around Rs.900 to have the fork oil seal+fresh oil in one fork. for both the forks the total would be around 1900 for oil+seals+labor.
apart from that warranty repair, i've had the fork seals+oil replaced one other time on both the forks.. so those are the prices iirc.

Thanks for the info and support .Originally posted by Sird View PostThey're the biggest pain in ass.
Google and get number of Sahibabad KTM SVC.
Hardly 4km from Patparganj.
Talk to the service manager : Shekhar Tomar.
If you're going directly, find anyone wearing KTM Tshirt, tell my name and explain your issue.
Give them my reference : "Sumit Patel"
Tell your issue. It will be done. [emoji846]
For future please stop going to Patparganj if you love your bike.
Shekhar Tomar has left from there i just confirmed few minutes back. Will go there from next time, i am trapped here now, the shocker has been taken out now.

Nice !
I heard from vj that 150 is slightly pinched in 4 inch wheels. So 140 is the perfect one to go?.
