except 1,9 and the spares, everything else is a ripoff/unnecessary.
outside labor probably refers to labor for chain sprocket replacement.
you have been ripped off by at least 2k. most of that work is unnecessary/might have not been done (like brake fluid changes, coolant change, wtf tank clean). unfortunately that is how 90% of the asc are operating now.. simply change parts or bill for it even without doing the work.

cost of ownership is more due to such services from an asc, i have stopped visiting the svc for routine services and do it myself or with the help of a local mech for a fraction of the cost.

Though the price they've mentioned is on par, the sinister part was where it mentions "units". A 250 ml of brake fluid can of 75 rupees is more than adequate for both front and rear. And they've charged you total of "four units" at two units each wheel, both front and rear which is a mismatch. Secondly, "Outside Labor" is something not right, unless your bike was given for lathe work or something, outside labor of 500 is something definitely not warranted.

Again coolant removal and refill, "units 3", which is again not right. You've replaced coolant from your bill, so it's a one time labor for both removal and refilling, not sure what made them enter "3 units". The bill clearly mentions, brake fluid and coolant were "units 1" and clearly there is a mismatch in the labor billing where they've mentioned different units for both.

From the bill, I can confidently say, they've looted more than Rs. 1100 unnecessarily in the name of labor.

    Cheers!

the labor charge for a paid service is around Rs.800-1000 (not sure if they increased it).
chain sprocket replacement labor shouldn't be more than Rs.500 iirc. some svc's do display a rate chart and i remember faintly that it was under Rs.500 for the chain/sprocket replacement and similar for a fork oil seal replacement.

what else did they charge you for under labor ?

    Coming to parts cost:
chain sprocket part is around Rs.3000
    Engine oil + All 3 filters ~Rs.2000

A bit of noob-ish question, I just finished my 1st paid service (4th one) at 15k ODO which also included chain sprocket replacement. All the items came upto around 5k but just the labour cost was around 3k, so a total of around 8k. Is it normal to have this high labour costs?

I had this problem with my Galaxy s9. But my office phone which is an iphone works like a charm, automatically connects, music works, caller ID works and also does not require another app.

    Thanks,

So maybe pocket over Heart and head !
My initial plan was to upgrade to a twin anyway, but budget was looking very tight.

If I do get a rental R3, I think I might really take a swing.

My bike was kinda low on pick up and rough from couple of week, yesterday bike was low on fuel with only 20kms as range and it was acting like it might shut down anytime, filled up in reliance petroleum sudden bike was super charged and acting like 390 supposed to even today the bike is smooth and eager to rev.

I thought may be water has entered the tank hence it's acting like that when fuel is low but today again the fuel range has come to 20kms but still bike is smooth and revvy, so I don't think any water has entered the tank.

Usually I fill the tank at shell but today coz of emergency I filled at reliance for 200bucks.
From today Will fill up at reliance and see.

These bike's are totally wierd, my old bike p220 used to act like that, I usually thought it's a Bajaj thing but even 390 acting the same. God knows wat..

It is not available through the website either, you won't find it for any time.

The closest I got to is the Bikers Enclave, their R3 was in an accident, so they asked me to check by September 1st week.
A friend of mine had a rental R3 for a few days before buying his actual R3. Let me check with him and i'll get back to you via PM

They are both very good performers for what they have to offer. Just to put it though, the 300 is a tried and tested one, and it isn't one to be worried as the beta tester. Good luck.

(provided all the valve clearance checks and major checks are carried out at proper intervals)

Manufacturers with Unlimited mileage warranty have really long drain intervals because the oil can take it and seldom shows any sign of breakdown. I personally check the viscosity at different intervals and 7100 still looks good for a very very long time. I think 5k is a good conservative number to change oils.

Anything lesser is just damaging to the environment as well as a colossal waste of money in my opinion.
True, some people expect a miracle with an oil change/brand after neglecting prior oil changes. when damage is done due to running with insufficient/bad oil, it can't be undone with some magical potion. 5K km intervals on a 7100 is perfectly fine, it can hold up even a bit more.

Any idea how much clutch plates replacement would cost?
fuel pump can be pressure tested at the svc.
another thing that comes to my mind is, pls check the brakes to see if the pads are binding to the disc i.e. the wheels should rotate freely when you spin them by hand with the bike on paddock stand. sometimes the pistons do get stuck and the pads ever so gently make contact with the disc and increase the friction causing the wheels to not move freely. And i hope the tire pressure is not too low and the chain slack/sprockets look good.
the other thing as i said could be worn/slipping clutch plates.
that's all for now, i could list out everything that could go wrong.. but that would be simply shooting in the dark and only confusing you. let someone else who rides a 390, ride yours and see what they have to say and vice versa.
