Unfortunately I am not able find timsun in chennai. Enquired a few shops and they stopped selling them because they had problems with ISI standards . That's what I heard....
MRF masseters are non radials. Which leads to choosing Apollo H1.

It's not a bad idea of using 1.6 bar cap as it helps the coolant stay longer in the radiator and hence cooing. But, too higher a cap pressure eating and you risk blowing off the radiator due to pressure build up.Originally posted by ksuresh92 View PostIs anyone aware of 1.6 psi radiator cap? I heard they are performing better in terms of cooling .
1.6 is the right trade off it even better, 1.5. But makes no major difference but it does help.

If you're under warranty, you'll get it covered and things replaced for free. If not, then seal costs 430 each and labor charges, fork oil will be extra.
Cheers!

Makes me happy since I've recently purchased Timsun 140/70.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostGo for the R3s M5 Metzler 140/70. You get increased sidewall, plus the tire fits well making it appear bigger than 150/60. Secondly, wider tires 150 aid well in high speed stability.
140 fitting better will all round increase the performance a bit, especially contact patch.
R3 rim too is a 4 inch and so is my CBR and it has Zapper S which I won't any day recommend for Duke's performance. CBR being the hot fat chick, it's okay, but the supermodel Duke is better with Metz, my personal suggestion.
And then you have Masseters, MPSRs etc.
Hope it helps.
Cheers!

The Metz have an awesome grip but i can see around 30% of rubber unused no matter how ever we push. Moreover being a very less sidewall was worried about the potholes and ride was a bit harsh.
Maybe this time will try the 140 sections . Anyone have a tried 140 ? Any good tyre suggestions for 140 section ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Actually 140 section should be the stock for the Duke. The 390's rear rim is 4 inch, the the 150 section is infact a tight fit, meaning it's pinched, and the tire contact patch isn't fully used.Originally posted by ksuresh92 View PostAny suggestions for the tyres ?
The stock tyres worn out at 15k kms. How are the new timsun 140/70 tyres ?
What are the advantages of downsizing to 140 ? Or any other suggestions ?
I am looking for a mixed usage. Some bad roads and 0 track and weekend hill runs.
Thanks in advance !
Whereas the 140 is a good choice, meaning, the tire is not bigger than the rim and helps prevent tire pinching, and helps provide a more uniform contact patch thereby allowing one to use the full tire side to side.
Though each tire will have its pros and cons. How this 140 affects the ABS too should be taken into consideration.
Cheers!

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi guys !
Back from a 1800kms trip with the Duke. She rocked ! Was perfect in all roads. Never felt a miss with the duke. So after the trip below is my observations.
1. Shell v power definitely scores over all fuels. I got a consistent mileage of more than 34 kms on speeds between 90 and 110 kmph. It also made the cold start better. Duke was holding the 2000 rpm at idle perfectly.
2. Engine oil, no matter what we use, it gets rough between 2500 to 3000 kms. Oil still seems good for 2000 kms more , but engine becomes physically rough. So proper interval to have a smooth engine is always change the oil between 2500 to 3000 kms.
3. The Metz rocked. DUKE AND R3 were doing a same corner but the confidence given by Duke and Metz was at a different level altogether. Was not able to do th4 same speed in R3 because of grip levels of MRF.
4. A attention seeker. Everywhere. Anytime,Anyplace.
Our ride !

Thanks, I saw the MotoMod one wasn't sure if it work well with Duke.Originally posted by Sird View PostI'm using one from *MotoMod* from Amazon.
The quality is decent for the price.
Using it for KTM's, TVS & Kawasaki. All in one, lol.
Though using for Duke is the easiest.
If you can handle your bike by 1 hand (which still feels task for few people somehow), you can use the paddock alone.
Otherwise, you can ask anyone from nearby to just hold the handle. No big task!

What paddock stands are you guys using if any ?
I like the ones from GA Auto accessories and Grand pit stop but not sure if I can use it alone.
Any suggestion would be helpful.
