I have another query on forks and shocks - according to WP website, WP Apex Pro fits RC390. Can the same products be used on D390?

Showroom folks directed me to KTM Service Head and the gentleman is yet to respond to my query.

    What are your thoughts?

    Thanks!!
From what I've been told, the forks are the same for the faired and the nakeds, it's only the rake angle that's changed in the faired one. Now, if that's to be taken into account, then in all probability, the APEX PRO should for the naked counterpart.

But still, I'd like to get a solid confirmation regarding the same, because sometimes not all the information you get is the justified.

    Hope it helps.

    Cheers!
    VJ

It can be a one off thing. But, it's pretty much a solid unit.. You can call them up they'll help you with all the details.

    Cheers!

Yes, the low end jitteriness is almost nil, plus the maps allow you to switch between available maps. Secondly, Powertronic also has QS for the D390 which is a plus, all this a quite expensive but really transforms the bike.

You can call those guys up or mail them, they're a helpful bunch.

    Cheers!

Will WP Apex Pro 6543 (front fork) and WP Apex Pro 6746 (rear shock) fit D390, 2019 model?

    Link to the above products-
WP develops high-performance motorcycle suspension and components. With its focus on INNOVATION and PERFORMANCE, WP gives riders a dynamic edge to take their riding to their highest personal level of performance. Continued investment in new technologies and research also ensure both racers and ambitious leisure riders maintain an edge over the competition.

Now the above products fits RC390 per WP website and I am assuming that it should D390 too.

May be for a reason I am comparing it to my ninja 250 throttle and power delivery which is smooth.

My question is can we change the mapping to smooth the things out? Please help.

Also lately I am feeling a bit of tightness in the handlebar. Somewhere I feel the balance is not proper while riding. Could this be due to fork/fork oil issues? My bike is about 1.3 years old and done about 19k Kms.

    Thanks,
    Aswin
That's great, glad it worked out for you. Secondly, it can also be due to busted fork bearings. If your handlebar is grabby or is tight at a point, you have a busted coneset. This tightness can be felt better when the bike is lifted and handlebar rotated left and right.

Easy method is to put the bike in side stand, pull the vehicle towards you, let the front wheel lift, and try turning the bar left and right slowly, if you have a grabby or the handle bar biting during motion then you have to replace the bearings. Or you can get it checked with a local mechanic for free.

If you haven't replaced the fork oil in a long time, it's better to replace them along with fork bearings.

    Cheers!
