          2. Have anyone upgraded your brake pads?

More than 15 of my fellow group owners who owns the RR has complained TVS has asked them to change the pads during the second service @ 5k kms. Pads are costing around Rs.3250. Just for a pad maintenance is close to Rs 1.50/km. Wanted to check if any members here have done that change and maybe put few bucks more & upgrade to a better quality pads.

I personally kind of feel the bite has reduced gradually.

                1. Pads costs 2265 for the front.
                2. 1400 for the rear.
                3. Made by Brembo, Italy.
                4. Hold the brakes and ride, the brakes will wear out. Nothing new, seen on every motorcycle forum for every motorcycle. A bunch of people press and hold the brakes and then complain about it.
                5. I've completed 6000kms and my brake pads are squeaky clean.
                6. I do a lot of high speed runs.

PS : Take your foot/hands of the brakes while riding Stop blaming the motorcycle, nothing happens on it's own.

U can try EBC pads, but all sintered pads will cost you more. And there is no guarantee for performance.
Or check the KTM sintered ones. They costs less.

Thanks for bringing about this topic on holding the brakes and riding . I see a lot of bikes being ridden with brakes pressed and being ridden fast. People just don't realize that their legs are pressing the brake lever. In a rear disc setup, a light press on the brake lever will engage the brakes.

How I know that the bikes are ridden with brakes engaged? Simple, I could see the brake lights glowing to it's full glory.

NOTE: This issue is very particular to a bike with rear disc setup.

Hi @Sachinnair, congrats on your new bike buddy!

I have a question regarding the heat management of the bike. Specifically in the current traffic around Thane-Mulund checknaka. Does the bike overheat in that stretch or is the heat dissipation manageable? I have seen a few D390 and RC390s left stranded in that location due to overheating. I cant think of any other place that poses such a big test to the heat management of any bike.

                          Thanks in advance!

Sure bro. But just FYI, if we dont press and ride it will come for long time. A friend changed his front pad at 19000kms and chain sprocket is also good.

Heat management is one of the best in this segment. Only if you are stand still in traffic signal you will feel some heat near the hamstring but otherwise you wouldn't realize this has a radiator fan . For me it never crossed 60% of the temperature indicator. Also the coolant level is still the same as day one ( 3000kms done).
