Re: TVS Apache RR310
I doubt if that would work. I have an Interceptor too and have done extensive research on 650 Twins Accessories and this thought did cross my mind.Originally posted by rohitsalvi31 View PostTake a look at handle bar riser for RE gt650 from Zana.. if you like it, then go for it..

Re: TVS Apache RR310
[QUOTE=sshinde555;1381428]Installed a Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR Off Roading tyre on my Apache RR 310 by myself, Also shared a small review about the tyre.
Been using this one for last 10,000 kilometers, for both front and back. Because of tread chunkyness initial acceleration is tad slower than original.
Really nice on broken surfaces, wet roads, sandy stuff. One thing to remember though is that Scorpion rally Str is a road biased adventure tyre, not a hardcore offroad tyre. Also 310 first gear is quite tall, meant for acceleration and not rock treading. So getting up on tough technical inline becomes difficult.

Re: TVS Apache RR310
Friends I have a few questions for my RR310.
1. Last time when TVS released Performance improvements my Bike's Chain Sprocket was not changed saying it is not required but there is no chain noise so I ignore the miss
2. ECU Update was not performed. This time when I went for 3rd SVC the mechanic told me that the Bikes have started giving starting problem after ECU Update. So it was not done and I too did not push for it.
Ques: Is there any improvement in Engine behaviour in a beneficial way or is the Mechanic right?
3. About Rear Shock Absorber I wanted it to be put to the Hardest setting. It was at point 1 i.e. most softest. When I asked the Technician to adjust and make it hard he said it is already set to hardest and if I put it to point 10 then it will become softest. Well I know the Shock absorber positions so thought it to be BullSh***. Offcourse i adjusted it myself to point 9.
Ques: I do not see any difference like a slight dip in height or suspension less travel. Is the Mechanic true. Does RR310 have different type of Spring which becomes soft on setting 10 and hard on setting 1?
4. Clutch: How should the clutch be adjusted. Should it be done like this
a. Loosen the screw at the gear lever completely.
b. Loosen the screws near the Clutch Cover.
c. Adjust for Free Clutch Play.
Ques: At the clutch cover is there an indicator showing range within which the clutch actuator is safe to operate or Can I keep the clutch actuator at the start angle at the Clutch cover and only adjust the tension from Clutch leaver screw?
My dealership is still waiting for Slipper Clutch so clutch lever is hard (means when compared to Clipper clutch)

Re: TVS Apache RR310
Unless you specifically know the mechanic and his capability/competence and trust him, assume he's just trying to avoid work or he's not able to explain the working of certain things, these guys will make any excuse.Originally posted by RR310 View PostFriends I have a few questions for my RR310.

1. It is mandatory for TVS SVCs to replace all 3 parts for any RRs that come to their workshop, and it's the Chain Roller not sprocket, it's a rubber part. If the SVC is not complying, talk to the Territory Manager, get his phone number from the SVC.
2. Honestly I noticed no difference from ECU upgrade whatsoever.
3. It's a standard preload adjuster and not inverted, default setting is 3 I think but don't know much more else about it. Have you tried measuring the height before and after adjustment with a measuring tape?

2. Engine Oil changed to Tru4 Synthetic.
3. ECU Update.
Already rode the Bike for 200+ Kms. Here are my observations
1. The Engine note has changed to a more smoother one. No Harshness.
2. Vibrations not showing up on the Handles, Tank, Seat. Feels more relaxed. Vibrations used to make me uneasy in groin region. Now I am happy.
3. Exhaust note changed. Above 90kmph it used to groan (like Ferrari sound but not in a pleasant way). Now the exhaust is relaxed at all speeds.
4. RPM fluctuations especially suring idling gone.
5. Adjusted the Rear Shocker to softest. Somehow bike feels more balanced now and height also reduced. I can flat foot. I am 5.7"
All in all the bike is performing as a Sports Bike should perform.

Re: TVS Apache RR310
Recently went for chain tight and got to know that a lot of spare parts are not cheaper than what it used to be and low pricing is jaw-dropping!!
Like :
The front brake and clutch lever was some 1000rs but now only 300rs.
Rear Brake pad was some 1200-1500 now its 312rs including labor charges.
I'll be going for service in feb and looking forward for some other low pricing.
Looks like now RR310 is almost same as maintaining my KTM's.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Re: TVS Apache RR310
I’m sure they are organic break pads and considering the speeds this bike can go, it’s wise to stick with more expensive sintered break padsOriginally posted by Sird View PostRecently went for chain tight and got to know that a lot of spare parts are not cheaper than what it used to be and low pricing is jaw-dropping!!
