    • Inquired with few dealerships around and everyone seems to be short of OE front brake-pad. Except one dealer. Shall I grab it?

Can the non OE pads be a culprit? But then most owners with OE pads are facing the issue too.

What about guys who have crossed 30,000kms and some have crossed 40,000kms.

Despite new brake-pad the lever play is 25% compared to 5% when new, what can cause this?

Can't ride (brake) as I want to w/o scaring myself, so going slow

      • My bike is 2 months old. I have been noticing too much vibrations after 6000 rpms and owing to this the visor gives some rattle. Its irritating with all the vibes and rattles. Just what could be the reason behind this?

I don't think the R15's ECU can be remapped. It doesn't support ''write'' operations. That's what I've heard. Both Daytona and Joel provide new ECUs. And about the 5bhp increase, its a farce. Only air filter cannot increase power by 5bhp Maybe 1 or 2.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Thanks for the info guys. Another question. When is the chain and sprocket set due for a change. My bikes completed just about 8600 kms, and is showing the initial symptoms of the same getting worn out. If it is early, what are the reasons for the sprockets getting worn out this fast. Just a note, I do clean and lube my chain every 300kms with Motul Chain Clean and Chain lube.

It depends on riding & maintenance. The chain will need to be replaced either when the chain tensioner reaches the last level (I think its 6), or when the chain expands unevenly across its circumference, or when the links are jammed & don't let loose after repeated attempts.
The sprockets are to be replaced either when the teeth are damaged (typically due to high friction i.e. insufficient lubing of the chain) or when they wear out in the normal course of running.
8600 Kms is too early for a replacement of the chain or sprockets.
What symptoms are you talking of here, elaborate?

While spinning the wheel, the chain slack is adequate at some points. However, at some points it tightens. Basically, the chain slack is not uniform through the wheel rotation cycle.
