Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership
That wouldn't be necessary. Make good rapport with the service center mechanic. That's not chargeable.Originally posted by K.rava View PostWell in the second service i will tell them to check battery and wheel balancing
Will they charge me for that?
Too early for wheel balancing.Regards,

This is either a dead thread or the owners are supremely happy that they just can't find time to write anything about their rides.
I hope it's the second thing.Regards,

Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership
Same doubt for me too. My cousin has booked this bike and i am waiting to read some owners point of view about this bike and some pictures. But nothing much yet.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostThis is either a dead thread or the owners are supremely happy that they just can't find time to write anything about their rides.

Going by all the reviews available online and having seen the bike personally, I guess your second point is true

Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership
Since the thread is dead, I'll give some update based on a tiny 100 kms(to and fro) ride update.
Me - on 220
Friend - on V3
The bike looks stunning and has its own road presence. The LED hradlights grabs attention and I had no problems in spotting my friend in the rear view mirror when I took lead. His V3 is still 800 odd kms old so we're slowly opening it up to run-in nicely.
Pros:
1. Looks smashing
2. Super stable at all speeds exposed to it till now.
3. Gear shifts are assuring albeit it will take time to make it buttery smooth as V2.
4. It sips fuel like a baby. 100 kms done and it still shows all bars full on the fuel gauge. PS - don't rely completely on the digital fuel gauge.
5. Throttle response is miles ahead and better than V2.
6. Slipper clutch helps. It makes that job so easy and light.
Cons:
1. Not necessarily a con point but I have a 220 to compare with hence - the low end is nothing to write home about. Wring the throttle and it will pick speeds but that uber happiness of less throttle but sweet pickup isn't there. It is a proper sports bike.
2. Riding posture is overtly committed. My friend asked for breaks a bit more often(it's his first ride, I got him bit by the biking bug [emoji23])
3. LED headlights look smashing but when stuck between Tata and Ashok Leyland and Bharat Bemz trucks, a flash of high beam is not even like a tickle. Empty roads and all black surrounding is the best way to show the headlight power. Real time highway beam throw is not that good. Comparing that to my P220, it was like a big difference. 220's headlight still overshadows the V3 .Regards,
Akash Yadav

Not necessarily.Originally posted by Kiran Prasad View Postokke broo thanks for the advice also i have heard that its better to use mineral oil for the first engine oil change is it correct
You can run on the factory oil for the initial 5-10k kms.
If you like it then you can continue with it.
If you don't, our XBHP forum would be more than helpful in recommending you another oil.
It's too early to sway in alternative directions.
V3 is a sweet bike with a sweet motor.
Congrats on the prized possession and may you have many miles of smiles [emoji4][emoji4]Regards,
