Yes that's true, u have to rev it up. And about loudness man, it's too loud. It's not street legal and you have to forgive your warranty also. Did u sign any form before installing it.

Daytona series are specifically for TRACK USE. They offer ECU, high lift cams, full exhaust system, special alloy sprockets, adjustable back steps and braking parts like big diameter petal disc brakes, master cylinder, and stainless steel hose et cetera. The free flow exhaust is pretty loud and not homologated for road use. In a sense, if you get caught, you are liable to paying penalties, or worse getting it removed as they did in KL, for those lousy RE exhaust, so do keep that in mind.

          Cheers!

          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Thanks guys. Installing the Daytona exhaust is just a 15mins procedure. So I install it myself only when I have to go for a spin. I'm a practicing Doctor so I hardly get time to even ride the bike. But the loud sound (guys it's very loud), I'm more concerned about the noise pollution. But the thrill of it is just exhilarating.
Yes they made me sign a bond where it was mentioned that it will void the warranty and Yamaha will not be responsible...... I forgot to click a picture of the bond. Next time when I visit, I'll make sure I get a copy and upload here.
I have installed the dB killer. I wonder what it would be like to use it without it. Will update on that later..

                  Re: Yamaha R15 v3 ownership

Sunday blues getting over I've switched back to the stock exhaust from Daytona exhaust. I've realized the low end torque is much more than the stock but zero torque in the 6th gear. Installation of the stock exhaust was done in under 10mins this time singlehandedly. Really easy if you have the right tools. Next week I will be riding the bike to my office and my conscience didn't allow me to use the Daytona exhaust on normal road because ITS TOO [emoji344] LOUD. Had fun with the Daytona exhaust. Will install it again whenever I get a chance. [emoji16].

Now time to share my riding gear
                  1. LS2 Helmet (Flip-Up-Helmet-Style Metro V3 Modular Adventure Helmet (Glow In the Dark) (Matte Black Firefly, Large)
                  2. LS2 All weather riding jacket
                  3. Riding gloves (pro biker). I'm looking for a good leather riding gloves. Please help me find one.

Will share the pictures in the next post...

Getting the pipe connected to the exhaust outlet in engine head is just one small bit part of the entire installation process of daytona.

Upcoming younger generation kids can get wrong idea about motorcycling by seeing this post. Please post with care.

                    Cheers!!!

Absolutely right. This time since I know which bolt [emoji374] to remove it was much easier. Exhaust mount to the frame and engine block is just one part. Part of the side panels need to be removed before all of this. Tideous but simple installation all done under 10mins. [emoji1].

But I don't see any part of the post where you can get wrong ideas. Let me know which one so that I can edit that part.

                        Cheers!!!

Daytona is only for Track purpose, not street legal, makes noise pollution, will void the warranty, will makes you tired while doing long rides but you said

"Had fun with the Daytona exhaust. Will install it again whenever I get a chance. [emoji16]"

This one is the wrong idea.

Yes riding with the Daytona exhaust was fun. But I never mentioned I rode it on normal road. I used it on track and will do so (install it) whenever I get a chance to ride it on a race track again. I also mentioned that I have removed it so that I can ride on normal road as my conscience didn't allow it and didn't want noise pollution.

                            I guess I'm being misunderstood.
Sorry for the incomplete post. Will take care in the future.
