        Hello !
        I am back...

How to remove swrill marks from r15 v3 ..wind screen?

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

        Ownership update after 5 months:
        Few problems i noticed

        1) i notice some vibrations at 4-6k rpm range (again).
It was solved in the second service ..but now after 3rd service the problem is back...

        2) Sometimes the bike gives me false neutral.

3)Loose battery terminals : sometimes the bike dont start on after i switch on the ignition key.. i have to pull one battery terminal and put it back to start the bike.

3.5) and sometimes the bike is on (the lights and display comes on)
But the motor dosent starts when i press the electric starter..

4)The clutch dosent feel light anymore ..

5)There is some rust on the disc brakes..

6)The tail light section, the fuel tank and side crowling and grab rail have become loose.

7)and finally .. sometimes the indicators dont work ... or they work after few seconds delay ...

Swirl marks from windscreen can be removed using plastic polish if done correctly. One on another note, they are comparatively expensive than the visor itself. Seems you're facing the same trouble quite a few bikes are facing. With respect to the loose battery cables. Make sure they are tightened properly, usually there is a nut present along with a screw/bolt. Make sure, the cables are fit perfectly without any play. Any play with the battery terminals and the bike would not start, run fine and throw all sort of electrical tantrums.

This should solve your indicator, and starting delay issues faced, it can probably be because of a loose battery terminal.

For rusts, use diesel and scotchbrite foam pad (used to clean utensils in home) and rub it along with mild diesel on places where you see rust deposition, they work effectively to remove rust off.

Do try this and keep your observations posted here.

          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

            was facing 1 , 6 , 2 before

recently battery and ignition problems have started

            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

there has been a new problem.
as feared the units up until now have tank problems wherein the tank panels get de attached from each other

Yamaha has currently removed the issue from the assembly line up but the current owners are being charged 57.75 rs.

Also the news suggested one person who got it done for free.

anyone have anymore idea on this?

A lot of parts of v3 are loose apart from those above .. Indicator lights, the console meter, rider seat, foot pegs (sometimes foot pegs vibrates in high rpm in lower gears),

              And
What the heck is this .. i didnt expected Yamaha would treat their costomers like that ..

Instead of replacing the fuel tank.. they are suggesting us to do jugadars ..

But i am not facing the fuel tank problem.. i guess the problem occurs when somebody rides the bike giving pressure to the fuel tank...
most new riders that are new to agressive position tent to sit forward pressing the fuel tank with their body.... (just my guessing)

even if forward bending of the rider is the problem , the side panels are being separated from the center pannel. that might not be possible with direct downward force which affect the center pannel , it might be pressure on the side pannels causing them to dislocate or the center pannel itself is flexing enough for the pannels to come undone.

right footpeg vibration is present only at certain rpm range depending upon the gear and you can feel it a lot more if accidentally your foot were to touch the engine assembly.

still haven't faced the rider seat or console vibration problem. ( hoping for the best )

next time when i visit the SVC, i need to ask them on how to tighten the rear compartment.

The first service has been completed for my bike. But now I hear an unusual coin rattling sound from the engine. This was not present before the first service. Is this a problem?

These are the pictures from my v3 tank. There are no panel gaps or falling off even if you try to press them hard.

Yes there are mild vibrations on right foot peg at around 5K rpm.

No other issues facing right now.

The coin rattling sound that you hear from engine is related to valve clearances. Some R15s have this issue of valve lash noise even on a new bike. Get your valve clearances checked and adjusted, should solve your problem. Keep your observations posted here

                        Cheers!

This is definitely a valid question. even i thought of purchasing the V1 earlier even after the V3 launch . But still went for v3

there is increase in power and VVA ( 155cc KING ) compared to it v1 is definitely underpowered and lacks the punch.

In no way is V1 a bad bike but for just 7k more you are getting VVA, Higher ground clearence , Fi with measures instataneous and overall fuel consumption , LED headlamps, Better look and better control, more mileage , top speed equal to RC200, slipper clutch . for just a little more cash

                                Advantages of V1
                                - slightly cheaper, more comfortable , quality.

< or you could wait till YAMAHA clears up the quality issues from the assembly line or till the ABS version comes out>
