I had noticed a leak in my right fork on my yesterday ride. So i did this to fix it. In this video i will show you what i did and how i did it. I made a home made sealmate/seal buddy to do it.
This would work on both telescopic and usd forks and would probably save you from spending on fork seal.

      Hi Folks,

Have done some modifications . Some are pending. Converted tube type to tubeless. Experienced 2 back to back punctures before conversion. Without main stand it was a tedious task for the first time. By time it goes for a toss again installed main stand. Now got it converted to tubeless with Pirelli MT 60 in front and Metzeler Karoo street in the back. Noticed a puncture gain today. But saved due to tubeless conversion. Got the seat modified for touring. Back rest and engine guard installed form Zana. RAM mobile mount.

Got maddog scout x installed ordered for scout too. Gives me a good view in the night ride. Also got the stock bulb changed to Osram. Average I must say. It's just blue tinted so that helps me keep a low profile. As the through is kind of warm thereby not blinding the person coming from opposite.

Waiting for risers to arrive, will change the handle bar to Himalayan thereafter. Contacted Indimotard for touring foot-peg. Should be available November onwards.

Nice mods...Be careful with the Aux lights..They are cop magnets. See if you can keep them covered while riding in the city.

Can u plz share the price of tyres both front and back. Have you stuck to the stock sizes or have u upgraded. Do you find any wobble on the front wheel...

Where did u get the tubeless conversion done...

        Thanks in advance

          Front tyre: 110-70/18
          Rear tyre: 150-80/18

              • hello member I have made this small video on speedometer condensation issue, how to clean and prevent it.

                Comment

                • I've had the bike for about 1.5 years now and have a made a few modifications and these are the long term review about it.
                  1. Sump guard and engine guard by RoyalEnfield, bought it when I took delivery of the bike - Avoid.
                  2. Removed the saree guards, reduces the weight - I'd personally recommend it.
                  3. Installed AEW TE102 exhaust (Matte) - reduces weight, looks great and sound nice. Have been riding it around Bangalore and I have not faced any issues with the cops so far (touches wood), I have not removed the DB killers. - Buy at your own risk
                  4. Outex tubeless conversion kit, have no issues with loss of pressure even when the tyre heats up considerably. - Recommended
                  5. Art of motorcycles radiator grill, I found it good looking.
                  6. Simtac Led indicator bulbs. - Recommended
                  7. HJC 90 watt headlight. - Recommended
                  8. Adjustable levers from aliexpress - Recommended
The last pain point I had was the suspension system, which is the biggest let down of this bike. I tried swapping the fork oil with a heavier one to reduce the frantic bounciness. Tried using preload bolts and add some load the suspension to eliminate the initial sag, which helped, but the suspension still felt too soft. I recently came across a thread discussing the various suspension upgrades on team-bhp and I was made aware of the suspension kit sold by way2speed, spoke to Melwin and after paying him 25k for the full kit, I had it installed and sadly it hasn't been great. The kit is sold as a progressive unit but it is just stiff for the most part, even though it is advertised as being customised to your weight, I couldn't see it. I weight 75-80kgs and I bounce around like a ragdoll on uneven city roads. I had my friend who is 20kgs heavier than I ride the bike and he felt the same. I have mentioned this to Melwin and he'll find someone to have a look at it in Bangalore. Let's see how things pan out. This is was the upgrade I was most excited about and it has so far been disappointing.

UPDATE: I got the suspension kit installed from Quickshift racing, Koramangala. I reached Mangalore and had my suspension looked at Grease Garage in Mangalore. Akshay from GG immediately contacted Melwin from W2S and told him that the front suspension is excessively tight. Upon further inspection, it was found that the kit was installed upside down, somehow the fork oil was underfilled and one fork was missing a washer. Initial impression feel good, I don't feel minor bumps any more and I carrying speeds into corners isn't unnerving. Akshay filled the forks with Motul 20W fork oil, will be heading back to Bangalore the day after. Will update the thread accordingly. I do feel a lighter oil would have helped the cause.

UPDATE: Rode the bike for 100 odd kms to get the feel for it. The triple tree was clamped at the full height of the fork, I would bring this back to stock, the sacrifice is not worth it for me, I feel I can carry speeds better across corners with the stock fork height. And I would go back to a good 10w grade oil or probably something even lighter. 20w is just too stiff.

I'm not a fan of just leaving the wires mangled together with tapes, the connectors can be bought here. You need a 2.8 mm male 2 pin automotive connector. It's easy to crimp the wire onto the pins, with a plier.

I ordered it but since they were late in shipping the order out after their crowd funding I cancelled the order. How do you like it?

I’m looking to switch the tail-light on my CGT to LED. I’m pretty much inclined to change the entire assembly to a Cafe Racer style, but I haven’t found any good options yet. Anyone know of any such tail lamps here?
Have been on the lookout, but there are none that will be a direct fit to the housing, there are ones where you need to remove the housing entirely, but then it leaves a large hole in the fender exposed.

                        • Hi Everyone,

I own a 2020 GT 650 BS6 Ice Queen, I recently got to know that it had a issue with the Chassis/Frame, the inner diameter of the Steering Column is bigger than specification thus making the bottom Cone Bearing raise to move freely in the column.

I took it to the Service Centre and they told since it is out of warranty I would have to pay for the frame. Then I raised a complaint with RE support and they have asked the Service Center to replace it under "Good Will". The service center said the chassis would be free of cost but I would have to pay somewhere around 6-7k for labour.

This happened sometime during end of last month, its been a month now and the service center is not able to procure the new chasis, everyday the CRM is giving some or other reason as to why they are not able to procure the frame like first it was the end of fiscal year they were not able to raise the request for parts, then they raised it but it got rejected by RE offer some technicalities and so on.

If someone have contacts in RE and could help me procure the frame then please help, its greatly appreciated. I am from Chennai FYI.

                          Thanks

                          • I ride a 2025 GT, but I find myself leaning too far forward, which leads to fatigue in my shoulders and wrists, especially on longer rides. I'm considering installing a handlebar riser or switching to a more upright bar setup.

Has anyone here made a similar change? What kind of risers would you recommend that still keep the cafe racer aesthetic but offer better ergonomics?

Also, any tips on installation or things to watch out for (like cable length issues) would be appreciated.

                            Thanks in advance!
