You sure seem to have a thing for white...Your Polo and CGT 650 complement each other. Himalayan tail lamp is a nice touch. Where did you source the headlamp grill from?Originally posted by CodeEvo View PostYes absolutely will get all the info here.

Overall bike looks very aesthetic. May I suggest the leather X headlamp straps from Trip Machine. They will really complement the cafe racer look on your retro amber headlamp.

Thanks man. I am inclined towards the black and white color contrast and both of them are GT's
Link for the headlight grill - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Himalayan Taillight - I got it from Royal Enfield I think it was about 1.4k, removed the outer casing and got it painted and installed.
I did check out the leather X headlamp straps from Trip Machine that would be my next try, I will remove the tint and the grill after I get bored with it. I had the Zana headlight grill before this but got bored early as it looks like the bike is wearing glass frames.

Re: Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
I got my annual service done. Total bill was 2770/-
Oil +Oil filter + Consumables.
Tappet adjustment was done hence left the bike in the morning around 9 and they did the adjustment around 6 pm when the engine was bone cold!
Back with RE oil will run for 3k and switch to Motul ASAP.

Change the handle bars & foot pegs to that of Interceptor.
Plz enjoy the bike in its stock form for at least three months before you attempt any mods.
Wrt changing the handlebars and footrests I would recommend you to retain the existing footrests and change to Art of Motorcycling handlebars after about 3 months.

Re: Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
Thanks bro. But I am looking for mod because of my issues with committed riding position. It is okay in city riding but I can't tour with this. That is the problem.Originally posted by Chakrapani View PostCongrats brother. Welcome to the club. You have got yourself a fantastic product. May you enjoy many miles of safe riding on your steed. Re: Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
The human nature is completely unpredictable. I bought Interceptor and after riding it for a year on stock set up changed over to GT 650 riding setup because I loved the committed riding position. [emoji16] I have done a couple of long rides as well. The committed position is not that bad. One needs to get used to it.Originally posted by maadyy View PostThanks bro. Well go ahead and change around the ergonomics, it will be worth it. If you want super comfortable ergonomics go for Art of Motorcycling handlebars and footpeg extenders from Indimotard. Better to get it done at a mechanic's. I am attaching screenshots for reference. You can look up the respective websites. Both are Bangalore based.
If you need a simpler option then just change the handlebar and retain the original footpegs. You see the Interceptor footpegs tend to hit your shins when you are trying to manoeuvre your bike from the seat in traffic or while pulling out of tight parking spots. Just sit on Interceptor and try to move the bike around with your feet for about 20 mtrs and do a U turn. You will know what I am talking about.
Hope this helps.

Re: Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
Faced my 2nd puncture today in 1 year and 4500 kms of riding, this time the valve of the tube had a cut at it's base, don't know how that happened, i was lucky as i was at a bike repair shop who's known to me. We quickly removed the wheel and i took it to the puncture repair shop.
The puncture guy didn't had a 130/80-18 tube in stock but he suggested me to get a new valve fixed. He did a great work on the tube, cleaned the surface using a grinder machine, then put on some glue and some elastic like pasting tube and finally used a heating press kinda thing to paste the valve permanently, total bill 80rs, which was pretty low according to the work done on the bike. I'll be getting a new tube though.
First time the puncture happened at home and I removed the tyre myself after watching a youtube video and got the tyre fixed, i dread the day when the bike punctures without a puncture shop nearby. RE can we please have the alloys now?Peace

Alloys on these bikes? would look absolutely disgusting like the starter triumph street or whatever. What would seal the deal is tubeless spoke rimsOriginally posted by yashasvi View PostFaced my 2nd puncture today

Re: Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
With regard to changing the bulbs to fr philips extreme vision plus or currently selling G force model there is a noticeable increase in the vision throw of the headlight... I have personally used this in my earlier Classic 350 later GT 535 and now on InterceptorOriginally posted by Insidious View PostThe waiting period for my motorcycle was a little over a month, but that was only because RE was transitioning from BS-IV to BS-VI and had stopped interim deliveries. I booked on Dec 21st and got my bike on Feb 6th. I believe that the wait period should be lesser now, and definitely far lesser than 90-days. I would suggest that you hound the dealership about this - get them to commit a time frame.
Oh, there is a wait for GT. You are right about the motorcycle selling in fewer numbers, of course. However, for this same reason, they receive fewer CGTs on the consignments. They actually receive more Interceptors than CGTs (as shared with me by an employee of RE).
---------------------
On a side note, has anyone switched the stock lamp bulb on their CGT to an OSRAM Nightbreaker? Is there a noticeable difference? Are there any better bulbs available?
I am not looking at changing the unit, but I am looking to change the bulb to something brighter but with the same stock power input and ECE?
