I have the exact same problem since the day I got the bike delivered. I had concluded that this is indeed due to tightness of fork nut. However, I have absolutely no trust on anyone to open the panels and repair the machine to the satisfaction level. Some time I’d like to open the machine myself and try repairing myself (or get the fork repair outside and manage panels myself).Originally posted by siva23

Hi all. Recently I met with an accident. Thankfully I wasn't injured that much. Regarding my bike, the initial eastimation was made at 47000rs, but repair done amounting to 30000rs (some parts weren't replaced that can be repaired). Thought the repair was delayed due to the insurance guys, the parts availability is very good I'd say. All my bike panels, and other parts were sourced withing 2 days (bangalore)

This was estimate. While repairing the exhaust wasn't changed as it had very few scratches and similarly with some other parts. The bill came around 30500rs of which 25200 rs was borne by the insurance company.
And that tak sound is not coming now for me. However I haven't braked that kard recently

Hi Ppl, I have purchased sf 250 with 3k kilometers on the odo in second hand market (Bangalore). I am not sure about the service history. The issue I am facing is between 3k-5k rpm around the speeds of 40-60 there is a vibration under the foot pegs, feels like something is rubbing below the foot peg & slight tingle below the seat, it happens only between these rpm's till 5th gear.
I did not notice this during the test drive. After getting the bike i took it to the showroom the chief mechanic said bike is in good condition and he suggested me to install center stand & bash plate (Under catalytic converter), which I did, it costed around 2k for both.
Just to be sure I have replaced the engine oil with Shell advanced 10W40, poured in 1200ml, replaced the oil filter as well. After which the engine felt bit smooth compared to earlier. The vibration between 3-5k rpm reduced a little however the issue still persists.
Could it be because of the newly installed parts or is it something to do with the engine?
I read it somewhere that if it happens only in particular rpm it is to do with resonance. Not sure if it is true.
Suzuki recalled for excessive vibration for the bikes manufactured in between August 2019and March 2021. This bike was manufactured in May 2019.
Has anyone experienced the same, please let me know the solution for this.

Hi Castro, thank you for your response thala, hope you have recovered completely.Originally posted by Castro Gunner View PostFor me the same happened when the bike was new. It made a different tak sound and the vehicle was quite buzzy between those rpm. However with time(mainly after 7k kms) it vanished almost entirely.

i think you should not change visor of this beast because Gixxer 250/150 stock visor placed in less angle compare to other which have by default visor's bike and also visor fiting angle should nearly 75 degree and more as per require.Originally posted by Pranav19 View PostRe: Suzuki Gixxer SF250
Got the bike on 28th Dec, completed first service of bike yesterday at 630km.
Bike feels light easy to ride in city surprisingly feels easy to maneuver than my ns 200.
Engine feels refined, have some tappet noise which is still coming even after 1st service. Will check with service center later.
Initial bite of fronk break is less, haven't tried panic breaking yet.
1st service costed 1064 rs.
PS: Any idea about aftermarket visor rest bike is great.

I run close to 7000km till now and there is nothing special to report, at 5500km or so I switched to liquimoly semisynth of the manufacturer recommended grade, the engine has become smoother now.
Its the worry free nature of japanese bike ownership that I cared so much about after my stint with RE & Bajaj. This bike is delivering me exactly what I wanted in terms of ownership.
And to add to the point, the performance has been going strength to strength.
