that sound is nothing but worn out bearings yes as stated : a new ball racer kit/ cone set/ charra karoti costs only 200 bucks.. replace is and it will be as good as new.. i wonder why have you been living with it for 6-7 years man...

Its been about 6 - 7 years now that a kdak kdak sound comes out from the "T" section of the handle/steering which is very irritating especially while riding the bike on off-roads. So many times I have taken the bike to the mechanics, and each time they said that the ball bearings are worn off. Some of them said that its not the bearings, but the part where the "T" is located has worn due to years of use and it needs to be heated and contracted without putting any sleeve. I am confuse right now. I love my bike and I would like to revive it again. Friends of any of you have come across with the same problem please help.

Hi guys. I want to present to you my CBZ classic. This is a 1999 model, the 4th bike to launch to be exact in my city Kolhapur, Maharashtra. I have modified my bike multiple times but sold it a friend in 2006 when I left for US. I am now back in India and I bought it back from my friend because there is simply no way I can get over my CBZ. I modified it recently with the help of a local mechanic. Its a Karizma exhaust and the paint job is done by the mechanic himself. The tires and mag wheels are mechanic's choice too. I realize that the mag wheels are heavy which force me to remove the chain cover but thats OK because I never had any problems in 1 year after making these changes. I would appreciate any input from CBZ experts here because quite simply I want to make my bike as awesome as possible. I lack knowledge in the performance section and given that the bike has gotten old and availability of parts is not that dependable, I tend to stay in safe zones when messing with the engine. I have tried the K&N filter but it gave me problems because it let in more dust than the regular Hero Honda filter so I am back to the stock filter. What are the best replacement rear shocks for cbz . Im right now using a pulsar135 shocks that i got for free. The height is nice as it makes it easy to flick in traffic , but over time the height does uncomfortable and parking on the main stand is not possible . Do zmr shocks fit ? or is it best to go for stock shocks ?

Friends, are there any Puneites in this thread? I think it would be great if we form a group of Classic CBZ enthusiasts (not just owners) in Pune, so we can deal with our problems (if any), together. Reason behind this is, my mechanic, even though worked with Singh Motor and Cycles (Pune) for more than 8 years and knows everything about Hero-Honda two-wheelers, I feel he is a bit laid-back, taking things lightly and kind of "ho jayega, chal jayega, yeh aise hi hota hai" type. I'm not 100% satisfied with his work. Even though he says the two-wheeler is perfect, deep inside I know there are things which could be rectified and improved if a bit more honest efforts are put in. That's what I'm looking for by broadcasting this request. Anyone's up? Looking to hear from you at the soonest.
