Is anyone else having this problem with the Gladiator?

It seems like a common problem. Gladiator's predecessor Fazers also had this problem. As far as I have seen more or less those bikes had this issue. Try oil on those rusted areas and change the bolts if you need.

I am worried about the exhaust pipe leading to the engine.Seems like it's going to crack.I have tried a full bottle of Zorrik anti rust spray to no effect. Will try oil tomorrow and see if it does the trick.

It's the first model.Gladiator DLX.But I have seen the same problem on another Gladiator Type SS recently. Also I remember that bikeindia or topgear had a problem like this in their CBF Stunner.
What's up with Japs these days?

my bro-in-law has a unicorn ( 2 yrs old ) and is facing this problem from a year which he did not see in his earlier bikes (all from HH), i wonder what kind of materials these guys are using?

Had the greatest scare of my life today.Stopped the bike 7km from home, took the key out and here's what greeted my eye.

Things like these are making me loose trust in Yamaha. There is always one thing or the other conking off every ten days. The previous day the self start went kaput for no reason.
I dont know if I am the only one suffering.Whatever Yamaha's 'uber build quality' people rant about isn't what I am experiencing.
It's sad though,I was dreaming that the 'Yamaha magic' would sweep me away but I dont think it's going to happen anytime soon. SIGH....

LOL. I dont know. The key was fine the other day.Took out the key from the console today and it wouldn't budge.I tried harder and only half of it came out. The rest half remained in the keyhole.I cant explain what my mental state was at that time.'Moved to tears' sums up my emotions.
Dragged the bike for 2kms to a service centre.Got the console detached and the rest of the key removed from the keyhole.
By the way I forgot to mention that today is my Gladiator's B'Day.Got this for her.

P.S.: Regarding the XCD ad.I needed some backdrop to take a shot of the key and I couldnt find anything other than a issue of bikeindia lying nearby. That's the reason. Yamaha neednt worry,I wouldnt buy an XCD.

                            Dude,
I think you showed too much power,
The bike must not have locked properly, and you pulled out the key...
Happened to me on a caliber.(Though the key was quite worn out)

                            As of rusting is concerned,
I have seen it in lots of bikes, at the same areas as shown in your pics
But what is the reason that rusting takes place at only these spots..?
