Wilco you reciprocated my feelings for Bullet Classic
Gosh I started saving almost a year ago for machismo and I was lucky Classic launched just in time. Waiting for Jan for delivery

    @prabhubravo
Yes did get that part, but I wonder how did international models get away with number plate ? Lowering the number plate would have solved ?
All the studio pictures are taken without rear view mirror, it looks stylish and sleek too without one. But of course somethings are not practical.

    • Not Satisfied with Classic 350

      Hi guys,
I was very eager to buy Bullet Classic 350 until I actually test ride it. I was greatly disaappointed with it because of the engine sound and very low thump.

Classic 500 is really superb! It has a very clear thump. When I asked the dealer why there is a difference, they said the difference is because of EFI tech in classic 500.

If that's correct, then I shall wait for Classic 350 EFI.

Though, the company promises mileage of 30 Km/L for Bullet Classic 500, the actual will be much less (20 - 25). It starts to vibrate after 115km/hr speed and its max speed is only 124km/hr. So I am not going for this bull.

Eicher should improve its technology a lot.

        1. Not sure if low thump is cause of EFI, 500 has greater vol displacement than 350. Also did you ride 500 on bend silencer? Bend Silencer on 350 does improve the thump.

        2. EFI 350 ? Is this gona happen, any news or plans ?

        3. Bullet on 124km/hr ? I guess they build for lower comfort speed ... cruise, top speed doesn't matter much.

        4. In my view the machine should be kept as raw as possible, not too many technology. Something you and me can play on. Yes mechanical improvements are always welcome.

        • The company has given a hint that it is working out to bring EFI for ThunderBird too. Since the engine is same for TB and Classic 350, this statement will apply for both.

I did the test drive on both 350 and 500. Not just once but 2 to 3 times. Both had the bent silencer. I dont like the engine sound that I get in 350CC version. The dealer also said that they have received similar comments from other people also.

          • Hi:

I'm new here, my immediate reasons for signing up were to see reactions to the new Classic from people in the know, which is the first Bullet that I've found appealing (I grew up a Yamaha fan, and own an RD350 HT). Ive been following this thread and its been very informative.

I agree that the numberplate beneath the headlamp isn't ideal - I'm wondering, is it legally ok for it to be mounted sideways on the front mudguard, the way i think it was done on older bikes? I think that would actually add to the retro appeal, rather than the present arrangement which is a bit of a bummer.

            Cheers

My Std 350 (1988) currently has the numberplate mounted along the front mudguard. I've taken the bike across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and MP and never been stopped for the number plate arrangement. Have been stopped for almost everything else (PUC/insurance/regn). I have no idea whether the RTO approves it nowadays, so maybe you should ask them.

                              • You dont know somethings about the dealers of any kind of automobiles. They never know everything its the manufacturer who knows everything, and no manufacturer will do such things to ruin its name.
