I checked with the mech there, the speedo console for the C500 is different and its calibrated for the 18: wheel. So the speeds indicated wont be so error prone.
fully adjustable shocks, I wish we get it !!

for 1.5L we will get the offroad pipes too (1.42L + 3) (but rules are rules )

    Over priced: NO

Today I was surprised to see the mileage figures at the showroom. C500 = 39.x kmpl C35=51.x kmpl

Well I will be getting my bike tomo
These figures are in STANDARD road condition (Per RE)? or actual figures quoted by any owner?

As you are going to get your bike tomorrow, I would like to know what things you consider while going for this bike.

I have actually booked my CL500 and will get the delivery next week, but I am still not convinced about the little dwarf look we get because of front 18". I know I am going for it but will I sound stupid if I ask you one question? Do you feel that it looks like a real bullet? I am really confused.

    • Well those were the ones quoted by RE, but going by the fact that the old thinderbird's mileage was quoted as 38 and I never got anything below 42, these might realistic figures in true road conditions.

The facts for me to go for this bike - the seating position, torque, Throttle response and looks

I feel, yes! its has a real classic look of the British bullet.

Congrats buddy, you made my day.
Seating position - I found that we have to lean forward a bit, I like more straight sitting position.
        Which color?
        Which exaust?

Think he meant below 42 and I second that too.
T-Bird has an awesome mileage. Especially with those new Vaccum sealed carbs. However much some people criticise the T=Bird against the Std or the Electra, this is a feature that stands out.

PS: I've owned the old T-Bird (non dual spark) for 6 years now.

                    Hey Prabhu,
Are you going for a crash guard?
                    If yes, which one? Diamond?
I am not sure which one will suite to Classic.

                    • Hey guys I had a dicussion with the sales guy about all the points discussed here and on team-bhp about various classic niggles.

                      1. First and foremost 18" are for better comfort in the city ride. Wider tire also provides better handling?
                      2. Why did u not launch it India a year back ? European feedback is honest where as we Indians accept whatever we get
                      3. Offroad silencer suggest after 1000kms run in etc. I guess alos thye have delivery issues here
                      4. Why all exposed wiring? well that is just a design sir. will not have any problem in the rains
                      5. well he said mileage in excess of 30 in Mumbai. so cities with less traffic can expect atleast 30 for sure

And finally I confirmed the green color. Will get in the next lot but can't delivery for now.

And congrats to everyone who owns the old nay new Bull

                      • I think they have launched it at the perfect time. economy stabilizing...job market looking up and the weather is just right to ride.

I want a C500 just to park up at home after throwing away my TV...just to look at it over coffee and meals. What a gorgeous bike.

And you cannot lean forward riding this bike. The single seat is too far up front and you are almost on the tank! I wish they had relaxed the seating position slightly and given us a heavy duty carrier and more flamboyant handle-bars (not ape hangers but something like the RD350 with more curve to it...know what I mean?)

                          • standard 350 is out of production. Spoke to the showroom guys and he said that the production has been stopped and he cannot commit any dates for standard 350.

                            • I had gone to the showroom yesterday to checkout classic. One odd thing i found on the classic 350 was it had an ammeter on it!Dunno why its required!they could have incorporated the low fuel indicator on the 350 like the one on classic 500.would have been useful.

                              @ subushady,

dude, standard 350 is still very much in production. There was a customer yesterday who booked a std350 yesterday. Also if its out of production they would updated the website immediately like they did for the machismo and the launch of classic.Std 350 is still shown in their website.

                              • vishnurags,

You are right. My friend went to the showroom and was told that it was stopped.
Today I myself went and checked and he said that it is still available. But will be stopped soon.

And you are right about the ammeter, its a total waste on 350
