1) Rear brake lever damaged (rear brake not functioning now)
2) indicators on the right side damaged, will need to be replaced. The light on the console doesn't blink when the right side indicator is activated
3) Tail panel on the right side damaged...
4) exhaust and faring have scratches.
Any idea how much will fixing 1, 2 and 3 cost? Planning to take the bike to PBK tomorrow...hopefully there is no other damage...
Bummer! Seems like its open season on Ninjas!
I suffered a lowside too on Saturday Morning. A crackpot in a Fiesta gunned his engine and cut across in front of me while I was banking for a turn and I had to tap use my front brake. Unfortunately the wheel locked and the bike slipped out from under me. Went down hard but was protected by my gear. (Will post pics soon on the riding gear thread) .Unfortunately I've been investing in my riding gear first and my poor bike didn't even have frame sliders on yet.Irony is that my frame sliders arrived today!
Damage pretty much the same - fairing, front right indicator, scratches on the exhaust. + my handlebars seem a bit off. PBK told me this morning that my right handlebar was bent and also the part of the fork above the suspension and below the bars. ( he used a word but it slips my memory right now).
I'm hoping that the cost of repairs are not going to be a killer. @ BV - you wouldn't happen to have a DIY paint kit for the blackies, would you?

sorry to hear about the accidents ... but are the culprits paying for your damages or are you guys taking it out from your own insurance?

Guys, I am facing an issue with my ninja.
If I touch around 80kmph in second / third gear and then release accelerator, the bike shudders till it hits 60 kmph. below 60 kmph and above 80kmph, no problem is observed. It is not just vibrations but you can visually see steering bars shuddering.
Yesterday, I took my bike to PBK. The mechanics were able to replicate this problem with my bike and two other bikes which had come in for servicing but the Bajaj guy told them not to worry and this is a normal characteristics of the bike.
I do not believe that this should be normal behaviour. Has anyone observed similar issue?
Since I have already shown the bike to PBK and the issue was present in all the three bikes present, it would not be something simple like bent front rim etc. Does anyone else has any idea?
Thanks.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

@vishwas : I have faced similar issue on my p220 but its noticeable only when u leave the handlebar . Atleast 5-6 mechs checked and nobody cut resolve it after replicating the issue. The disc/alloy was not bent. The tyres were properly fit. The cone set had no issue neither the forks were bent. Oil seal for the left shocker was broken but I started ignoring the issue so dont know if that was the cause and fixing it resolved the issue . You might check that out on ur bike.sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

Got the immediate stuff done today..indicators (1129/-) and the mounting plate for the break pedal (2143/-) luckily they had the spares... I didn't want to wait for 2 weeks so didn't claim the insurance... have ordered tail the panel though, that was not in stock...Last edited by gouravkatyal; 10-05-2010, 09:21 PM.

very sorry on that account , but your thrust on wearing riding gear is a lesson to be taken for all.
next the frame sliders ... to what extend it can protect ? whether it will damage the frame in case of a bad fall as the impact will be transfered to the frame.
forks are a touchy issue.... like the fork stem going badMountain biking on impulse with my wife and our bike goes down in water

For the price, it is good.
Sonic Boots are available for 8.5K in India.
You may also consider Meteor Boots which will be available for 7.5K
I like Super Street Boot and the price is 9.5K The one which I loved to buy was Alpinestars S-MX 2 Boots, but the price is around 14.5K
