Since you have already removed the pin now go to your nearby Puncture shop and get your tyre checked whether it is punctured.Originally posted by neeraj.juneja View Postbhaiyon, there was unusual sound when i was riding on my beauty. when i checked the tires there was a pin bent at 90 degree. i mean the pin entered the tire no straight but like the doc's insert the injection in our skin.
So i removed it.
what are the chances of puncture?
and how'll I check it?
There are high chances it is punctured. You can check by holding water at that place where its punctured If you see bubbles there is a puncture (thats how they check at puncture shop) & you will see steady loss of tyre pressure which means its definitely punctured.
Watch out for kids who might spray paint your bikes this holi
Wishing all of you very Happy and safe Holi

First one is the front fairing psrt, second is the rear right cowl where karizma is written.Originally posted by 111diablo111 View Postactually i was quiet obsessed with my "White Angel" & used to blabber this word thousand times a day,so my friend gifted me this key-chain as she wanted something which goes with my bike's name "White Angel"

I'll ride the beauty after Holi. and get it checked. Hope it's not a puncture, otherwise it'll cost me hell lot of my life to get it repaired(i mean stress and strain on hands while carrying the bike to the repair shopOriginally posted by Sachinnair View PostSince you have already removed the pin now go to your nearby Puncture shop and get your tyre checked whether it is punctured.

Your stock tyres are tubeless so just ride it till the closest puncture shop.Originally posted by neeraj.juneja View PostI'll ride the beauty after Holi. and get it checked. And it will not be hectic at all it will only take 10 mins to remove the puncture. So chill!!!
You can buy your own puncture kit and its not difficult at all removing puncture from a tubeless tire. You do need some strength though.
Remember if you have spotted a nail in your tyre do not remove it if you do not have puncture kit handy. Again this might depend from situation to situation.

Sparx Helmet and ZMR Queries
Friends I'm planning to buy a Sparx Helmet that go along with my ZMR. Can someone tell me what is the best way to spot the fake one... I'm not interested in spending 4-5k for a cheap helmet.. So just want to be cautious..
Also it would be great if any folks from HYD can let me know the best shop to get original helmets and other accessories..
BTW I have some other queries..
I see that the mirrors on my ZMR are not very easy to adjust. Should that be adjusted by a mechanic? I couldn't see the very closing rear vehicles....
The other thing I noticed is that the seat is of not high quality. I observed that the seat on my old passion pro looked better.. is there any reason for that?

For all information for Helmet you might want ask your queries hereOriginally posted by samratreddy View PostFriends I'm planning to buy a Sparx Helmet that go along with my ZMR. Please check on Helmet thread mentioned above for all queries.
Sparx helmets are DOT approved so check whether it has DOT written.
If you are looking for a full face Sparx Helmet it will cost you around 8K and above.
Also check other Helmet brands like Rjays, Diajya, JR etc.
I have Rjays Blade Runner and its very good. Snell & Dot Approved.
For Mirrors on ZMR - it will easy to move the mirror so i have not had any issues in fact its the best & regarding seat quality I would say its the best in its class. Perfect seat for tourer's

Top speed?
Since many of you guys must have finished your 2nd servicing and pushed ur angels to the limit...i just want to shout out and ask what speed have u reached...though i have heard a few people boast about reaching 135...i tried it myself..
i reached a speed of 125 with clear view...and then i saw 128...and then i continued for 10 more secs...so i asume it might have reached 130...not sure...but 128 kmph...for sure...
my bike condition was
K&N installed
4 Servicing done
Power petrol
Less than half tank (since full tank reduces speeding capacity)
Nitrogen filled Tyres
Fully aerodynamic Seating position for max air cutting
Early winter morning so no over heated engine...smooth condition with cold Air
Long RPM shifts for max power output.
Anything has gone wrong??
And yes i was fully equipped for max safety..
helmet DSG jacket, Gloves, Knee pads and for effortless shifting i had Nike basketball shoes...so the gear shifts went easy.
Your experiences please?
also i would like to edit in the reason about why i fill nitrogen in my tyres...its because all my cars (which u can see down in my signature) have nitrogen in their tyres...so i filled in this also...and also there are these reasons which i believe it!
Less inflation pressure loss.
Reduced wheel corrosion.
Since Nitrogen is lighter than Air, The vehicle becomes a little lighter in movement (just heard it)
Prevents inner-liner rubber deterioration by oxidation
Tyres run cooler.
Increases tread life.
Increases fuel mileage.(Not sure but heard it does)
Helps prevent uneven wear.
also now a days Audi Cars come with nitrogen filled tyres so obviously there is some reason for it!Last edited by Adrenaline X; 03-19-2011, 09:01 PM.Honda Dio 2008 - 100 CC

Better recheck. Rear cowl means thats the part, there is no other part which costs a grand!!!Originally posted by 111diablo111 View Postbut that part where Karizma written on tail is still scratched just the way it was earlier after that accident

The line in bold won't be of much use for tubeless bcz there won't be any rubbing between tyre and tube.Originally posted by Adrenaline X View PostSince many of you guys must have finished your 2nd servicing and pushed ur angels to the limit...i just want to shout out and ask what speed have u reached...though i have heard a few people boast about reaching 135...i tried it myself..

Ok now coming to your actual question, ZMR's speedo is very accurate compared to any other Indian bikes. So what the speedo shows is true speed.
What ever you have done is right and yes thats the true speed of ZMR that can be attained. Max 130.
Others claiming 135 might be on a slope road or a slightly modded bike.
You can try it if you want. Plonk in P220/200's rear sprocket and see the top end difference. But yes you will lose a bit of initial acceleration.

dude no disrespect but the guys in my building who has GSXR 1000 and such superbikes say sprockets with more teeth give more Pick up since the distance is reduced because of the big sprocket....Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostBetter recheck. None taken bro.. I never said to put bigger sprocket
I said P220's (36T (DTSi), 37T (DTSFi) or P200's (38T) where ZMR has 40T rear. Hope now what I said is matching with superbike owners words
