Hello everyone, I recently changed my karizma tyres and I am unable to make out the price of the tyres. They are non radicals and is of Ceat but the dealer charged me 5800 for it. Did I get ripped off or is it normal to charge this much for non radicals front and back.? I am unable to make out the bill can you help?

Hi Zimmers,
I recently did a full DIY service of the centrifugal oil filter, strainer and oil cooler and also flushed the engine with diesel and cleaned it dry before pouring in fresh Shell AX5 20w40 oil.
Im told by many people that 20w40 is the best oil for ZMR as the stock hero oil 10w30 is way too thin and doesnt really last 3000kms. (Let alone run a 6000kms). Can anyone tell me if Shell AX5 20w40 is good or should i go for 20w40 of Motul, I'm also keen on using only mineral oil as its recommended by HH. I found that in the past when I had used Motul semisynthetic oil, (450/- back in 2013) it did perform super smooth initial 1000kms but post that it kind of blackened and thick deposits were found in corners of crank case. Im using Shell AX5 since 2016 and it runs fairly well. Every 2000k kms I change it as I see deterioration in viscosity. Please share your thoughts on your oil usages.Kinetic Honda ZX(2001)

Shell AX7 10 W 40 SS oil is used by many Karizma owners. Since this engine is Air /oil Cooled, the oil will loose it's property faster than a LC engine. So changing oil depending on Kms covered and ride environment is a better choice. Shell Rimula R4 a HDEO also used by many Karizma owners with good effect it is a 15W40 oil.Originally posted by Akkiben View PostHi Zimmers,

A 10 W 40 oil is the preferred grade by many owners.

so finally decided to restore the Karizma ZMR...almost nearing the final stage
the whole bike was stripped down, metal parts are repainted, and most of the wear and tear part are replaced
looking forward to the final complete build.

They both have same CDI so the timing must be the same...The only difference is in the Valve lift which is higher , and the shape of the Piston top to accommodate the higher valve lift. These engines are the interference type. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
