Hello Karizma R and Zmr brothers how do you say the difference between loose cam chain sound and loose tappet sound??what will the difference in symptoms of loose cam chain be compared to tappet. Will the acceleration be jerky or sluggish with loose cam chain/cam tensioner.Kindly require your advise.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Loose tappets would knock when the engine heats up. You'd get a constant pinging sound along with decreased performance.Originally posted by DrAzlan View PostHello Karizma R and Zmr brothers how do you say the difference between loose cam chain sound and loose tappet sound??what will the difference in symptoms of loose cam chain be compared to tappet. Will the acceleration be jerky or sluggish with loose cam chain/cam tensioner.Kindly require your advise.
A loose timing chain would also make noises: chain slap, slight pinging with backfiring/rough engine running, causing power loss.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Hello Karizma ZMR owners,I just wanted to share something about ZMR.My ZMR had a sudden jerk while using accekerator.Recently i removed the tank and petrol filter(black plastic cylindrical body between tank and fuel pump inlet, removed the fuelpump along with injectors and throttle body, petrol pre filter and cleaned then wil one liter petrol throughly and i fixed them back. There was improved throttle response but the accleration initial jerk was still there and sometimes the rpm automatically goes up slightly( i had also cleaned lubricated throttle wires). Then i saw a video in youtube by karizma zmr owner called TOP END,and after watching,i reset the ecu first and the trottle position sensor nexr, following which there were no more jerks while initially accleration and there was constant and uniform acceleration. So if next time someone opens up parts of ZMR for cleaning maje sure you reset ECU and throttle position sensor Thanka You.

I have a doubt regarding the leaning angle sensor. How did you manage it?Originally posted by Lone7raveller View PostNo bro, everything is intact, I've managed to keep all wires and cables tucked along with the chassy using some clamps.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Lean Angle Sensor,/back angle sensor is Located below the meter console right side( if bike leans more than 45,degrees it cuts off the fuel and only starts 5 min later when bike is upright..this was done in order to cut of fuel as a saftey measure if bike ends up in an accident and dosenot go up in flames..sometimes u gotta remove the key ignition mechanism to remove it easily..U can clean it using carb cleanor or surgical spirit. To clean TPS senor,u gotta remove tank( disconnet tank wire below tank above ecu), then the fuel pump along with injector( remove connector wire of fuel pump, injector and there is a connection wire below throttle body, disconnect that too) loosen and take out throttle cable a and b , disconnet the throttle body by loosening the the 2 rubber hose attachments( one to air filter, one to engine head)..it should come out easily. The TPS sensor is the black thing side of throttle body..there are nother 4-5 sensors in it.u can open and clean with surgical spirit/carb cleaner/ petrol or diesel.Refer TOP END VIDEOS on youtube for sensor and injector cleaning and reset ecu and tps sensor for karizma zmr. There is also an oxygen sensor and oil sensor front and behing cylinder head,u may remove and clean them too..Originally posted by wingrider6493 View PostI have a doubt regarding the leaning angle sensor. Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Recently I faced same problem and mechanic tuned a screw near engine ( could be RPM or AFR), immediately my stopped jerking while deceleration and engine oil leak stopped and able to go high speed. I want to understand what is wrong with that screw?Originally posted by psr View PostChange the Air Filter ASAP.It is no longer doing it's job.......Your Exhaust valve door is leaking(change "O" ring), and oil inside the Filter Box shows blowby( normal)......your engine may wear out soon.....
Change the Air Filter to stock and check if bike is running ok...
