Hello Shreeni. How are you doing ?

There was only one puncture so i did not change my tyre this time, but my friend is getting the tyre for me from Mysore for 2000 Rs. I will keep it with me and change it if i face a problem next time.

My friend has also changed to Zapper VYDE some time back and i also feel it is good i will give a thought about it. Thanks to Divya Sharan, Shreeni0403 and rreneav1987 for suggestions.

The answer is - your approach matters.

The day when this DP of mine was clicked, I was very scared. I hardly touched 50 kmph. The blur you see is camera wizardry.

However, I was lucky enough to get a few more shots in the months that followed and it was better.
See, big bikes are fast, heavy and scary.

They can make you pay by life or limb with the smallest of mistakes.
BUT, so can the ZMR (to a similar extent)! Ride the Busa just like you ride your ZMR. Like a gentleman.
With time, you both get to know each other and it becomes easier.

It's very easy getting overwhelmed by these bikes.

When I first saw that picture I was glad, because if an Indian woman can ride a Busa, it shouldn't be that hard. Only recently came to know Divya is a man. 😀

Zapper vyde is indeed a very good tyre. I have used it and wet grip surprisingly good. With Q I never had that confidence.

I never knew you used Zapper Q. I saw only Y before you switched to Vyde.
Was it during Velneshwar trip?

What is the price for ZMR v2 injectors? ASC is quoting Rs 7500.

First, please don't type like this...... that..... Also, type in full English sentences.
As of now, we need more info. How old are:
1. Spark plug
2. Air filter
3. Engine oil.
4. battery/starter relay/fuses.

What is the ODO reading?

Please change your SVC ASAP! Before you change the injectors. Injectors cost under 1700 with the clip included.
You need not change them. Just clean them in diesel and fit back.

Before you get injectors out, use Iftex System G (1 ml per liter) for 3-4 tank fills. Available at BP petrol bunks nationwide.

Hi friends,
I have two different feelings inside me. One, the joy of riding a powerful bike, yes, I have bought a new Duke 390. Second, sadness as my beloved ZMR has developed a major problem which my mechanic said it cannot be brought back to a good condition again. Happy as well as sad.

My ZMR has now emitting a metal sound from engine like tik tak tuk, not all the time but after a cold start, when ridden for some 10 km then noise subsides. Stop the bike, kill the engine and again start the engine, sound starts coming for few seconds, go off for few seconds and again on.It sounds like a diesel engine clatter. My mechanic says there is an issue with the crank shaft, timing chain and valvetrain.

Recently I rode in rain, the bike stopped as if there is no petrol. After many cranks it started again but hesitant to rev, I had to wring, wring and blip it many times to keep it moving. My mechanic advised to put a higher viscosity oil to contain the sound. I had added viscosity improver from Abro in the engine oil. I am using Motul 300V 10w40 full synthetic oil.

Now I had put it in peace and riding only if there is no other bike to ride. I just want to bring it to my main course again. The unbeatable long distance cruiser. Any suggestions!

Change your mechanic ! There is nothing that can't be brought back to good condition. It's all about time, money, passion.

Regarding solution to your issue, I'll leave it to experts. I feel information provided is not sufficient.

Get rid of 300v and try 7100 10w40. 300v is for high revving small durations. Not everyday usage.

I know a few guys who have ripped apart a dead bike and built it to run like new, so your problem isnt somehting that cannot be resolved. Now , metal sound is a never a good indication. I somehow suspect timing chain has gone beyond words. Also the noise you explained sounds like piston slap, this happens when piston and bore have too much clearance. I suggest you get hold of a better mechanic because his answer of USING HIGHeR GRADE OIL to contain noise is not acceptable. I am not sure but similar thing happened to my friend pranshu rreneav1987 : Pranshu's bike rememeber? He had case of bent valves. So i suggest just get bike inspected and then decide.

This issue was faced by Cause Falling where the piston bent and the bike never started. The pistons were changed and bike was back and running as if nothing had happened.. coming to Pranshu.. he rides his bike as if it is an SBK... what happened with his bike was bound to happen.. the piston slap was faced by Abhilash Ah!!

His bike is running fine now after @sibun gave him a solution which I can't remember now..

Btw, as sibun suggested, i have started using nulon in the oil. 150ml for 1.3l of oil. Added it yesterday. Hope the piston slap reduces..
