You can try adjusting the clutch freeplay and see if it resolves the issue. I don't see this thing on my bike. It doesn't power the wheels with the clutch lever pulled in.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Theoretically it shouldn't happen but I have seen that with new bikes like Gixxer and Fz too. With the clutch pulled in in 1st gear, the wheel still moves slowly. Like at 5 kmph or so.Originally posted by Harry99 View Post

Ok guys, i turned the freeplay and the problem is gone(for now) but i fail to reach a conclusion that how much free play is optimum.
The manual says 10-20mm but that seems ridiculously small, my earlier free play was set at max.
Help me decide guys :/

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
I agree to this, a little bit of play is acceptable but riding on half clutch is going to cause more harm than the perceived conception of better pick-upOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View PostSome people like to have full clutch and some like it with half clutch.. Agree. That's why we need good riding schools. Not just for track days, but for general day to day riding as well.Originally posted by worrisomebear View PostI agree to this, a little bit of play is acceptable but riding on half clutch is going to cause more harm than the perceived conception of better pick-up

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
So, the truck needed attention. It was leaking engine oil for the past one month. I replaced drain bolt O ring and sprocket/gear lever oil seals and the problem vanished.
I completed a trip to Goa as well. Soon after my trip the issue resurfaced. It was traced to a leaking gasket on the magnet coil case. I got one soon but delayed it due to pure laziness.
Yesterday the tappets started ringing and today the acc cable B broke.
So, I dedicated the evening to look after my truck DIYing.
Stuff changed:
1. Engine oil - 1100 ml AX7 (₹420)
2. Acc cables A as well as B - ₹200
3. Tappets - 20 min
4. Chain cleaning and greasing - 20 min
5. Gasket - free gift from mech.
Rode for 20 km and didn't find leaks for now.
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Previous weekend get my ZMR serviced ....lots of parts changed...Complete Cylinder Head, Valves, Clutch Plates, Rocker Arm and others...billed 10,000 Rs.
I am looking for a rear tyre in 110 section...currently my ZMR is running on Pirelli SD 110 and has clocked 20000 KM on the same...
with PSD the problem is punctures...due to soft compound rubber....and it get stick to road...sometimes feel that rear bike portion is holding/stopping in acceleration....otherwise grip is superb....
Any suggestions on 110 section tyre and in 100 too....
Edit : Saw a Xtreme Sports Compatible tyre from MRF 110/90-18 TL. It should fit in ZMR?
